00:05redeeming codes on your Xbox 360 now that the online store is off.

00:18YouTube is how you're going to be catching me and today we're going to be talking about
00:21redeeming codes.
00:22So I've got a handy dandy, I'm going to show it to you with just some of it so you can
00:26see that this is an actual code Xbox live game pass code.
00:30Now this one has been already redeemed, but I'm going to show you how you can redeem it
00:33from your Xbox 360 in two different ways.
00:37Well maybe three if I can do it from the start menu to still I haven't checked that out.
00:42But first, whenever you turn on your Xbox is going to look just like you see here and
00:45as you see, I'm using my Xbox 360 controller.
00:48It's wired because the batteries are dead currently, I'm going to hit the right tab
00:51over twice.
00:52We're going to go down to account.
00:55The first one that pops up on account is going to be redeem code.
00:58This is where you would enter this magical code in whatever it is, blah, blah, blah,
01:02blah, blah.
01:03Then you'd hit start whenever it's done and it would give you a message of accepted or
01:08denied right there.
01:09The second way you can do it is right here.
01:11If you go over to the right, you'll notice it says Xbox live free and then you can click
01:16on that with a the a button.
01:18It's going to load up a screen and it's going to show you, you know, your Xbox live membership
01:23on the right hand side.
01:25It should say silver or whatever that your says.
01:28You can do change payment options, modify membership or redeem code.
01:32You can redeem it right there as well so that you can add your code directly into it from
01:37that port.
01:38And then let's see if it still gives it to me from the old start menu button here.
01:44So I'm going to hit the button and let's see if we've got a redeem code option here.
01:47We're going to go over to settings.
01:49Nope, it does not anymore.
01:51So it just gives you the account management tab.
01:54So yes, it does.
01:55On the far left under games and apps, it will on the left hand side.
01:58So they moved it from the far right to the far left.
02:01So if you go down, you'll see the redeem code tab and right there it is for you guys.
02:06All you got to do is click it, put your code in and hit start and it will automatically
02:10recognize it up.
02:11Now for those of you that are using new gen, it's the same process just under the redeem
02:16code tab from the store that you that you've got on either your Xbox One or Xbox Series
02:22S or Series X and you can get it directed right there.
02:26Also if you're using just the Core Pass, it will pass down to your Xbox 360s as long as
02:31you have them linked on your Microsoft account through Microsoft.com.
02:36So it'd be a good thing for you to register your old systems and put them together.
02:42And that way whenever you hit live for one, you got live for all your consoles.
