00:00Hi there, we keep the sunshine and showers theme mostly over the next few days. One exception

00:07is for much of England and Wales during Tuesday because there's a lot of cloud associated

00:13with the system that's moving through and perhaps some longer spells of rain, especially

00:17over the higher parts of Wales and the south-west during Tuesday afternoon. Now that's heading

00:23its way south-eastwards. Ahead of it some drier weather but a lot of stratocumulus in

00:26the sky for East Anglia and the south-east so not much sunshine coming through here.

00:31I think for Northern England, Northern Ireland and Scotland it is a case of bright spells

00:35and showers, the heaviest of the downpours across northern Scotland, a rumble of thunder

00:40here and feeling cool wherever you are, especially under the cloudier skies in the south. Now

00:47into the evening the showers pep up for a time across east Wales into parts of central

00:54and south-eastern England, especially across East Anglia and the south-east later in the

00:58evening, an odd heavy shower here and some heavy showers coming south into Northern England

01:03and north Wales. But eventually by the end of the night some clear spells emerging, the

01:07showers are largely confined to the north and north-west and temperatures dipping away.

01:13Single figures in many rural spots, 5 to 9 degrees but in urban areas I think 11 to 13

01:20Celsius as we start off Wednesday. But Wednesday starts with some sunshine and to the best

01:25of that sunshine we are in the south and the east, further showers coming through especially

01:29for the north-east of Scotland and it is another day of bright spells and showers for many,

01:35although towards the south-west we will largely avoid the showers and there will be some warmth

01:40in the sunshine, certainly a brighter day to come for much of England and Wales, 21

01:44Celsius the high. I think further north still feeling on the cool side with those showers

01:51as they come through. Into Wednesday evening the showers largely disappear or at least

01:56they become confined to eastern parts. Further west we are waiting for this system to come

02:01through, an area of cloud and outbreaks of rain which will arrive overnight and into

02:07the start of Thursday. Once that's out of the way there are signs that the weather will

02:12settle down for the weekend which would make sense of course because the schools go back
