00:00The bill to stop the use of the mother tongue as a medium of instruction from kindergarten to grade 3 has lapsed.

00:09President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. did not approve of the Republic Act 12027.

00:16Now that this law has been passed, the main medium of instruction in the Baitang is now in English and Filipino.

00:25While the mother tongue or regional languages will be added as a medium of instruction.

00:31The Education Department was ordered to assist the Commission of Filipino Languages
