00:25to the bereaved families of 61 individuals who were affected by the severe Typhoon Christine in the province of Batangas.
00:34They also received food packs, rice and health kit and additional financial assistance from the private donor, DG Plus Interactive.
00:43This tragedy has brought profound pain to many homes and people.
00:50And through our assistance, we hope to provide some comfort in these challenging times.
00:58With the encouragement of the First Lady, we're giving about $40 million.
01:07The plan is to give, ma'am, about a hefty sum for those families who suffered really badly, about P250,000 per family.
01:22In a message from the Department of Social Welfare and Development Secretary Rex Gatchalian,
01:28which was shared by Undersecretary Pinky Romualdez,
01:31she assured that the agency will continue to coordinate with the local governments to help the victims of the typhoon
01:39until they can return to normal life.

01:44Mayor Nestor Natanawan of Batangas encouraged the bereaved families to not cry and continue to be strong.
01:55The First Lady, Araneta Marcos, had a personal dialogue with the bereaved families.

02:12for presidential assistance to farmers, fisherfolk and families and housing materials donated by the Metrobank Foundation.
