00:00All right, finally, let's wrap it up with the big NBA story off the court this week,

00:08which was Shams Tarana joining ESPN after spending many years at Yahoo and then of course

00:15at Stadium and FanDuel, if I'm not mistaken.

00:18It just seemed like the timing really is what aligned here.

00:21If Shams was not a quote-unquote free agent, I don't know that he would have been able

00:25to join ESPN as an insider.

00:27I've seen reports about finances that he's less than Woj.

00:30I don't know if any of these things are true, but needless to say, he's done a fantastic

00:36job breaking news for the past decade, and so this should come as no surprise.

00:40It should come as no surprise, Craig, and you're right.

00:43All that stars kind of aligned for him here with Woj leaving, and then we know from the

00:47New York Post that his contract was up with FanDuel at the end of the summer.

00:52Now, it looks like he will not be able to renew that deal with FanDuel because of ESPN,

00:59which you would expect, but Sam McQuillan got information on that and kind of confirmed

01:05that for us.

01:06So yeah, interesting move for Shams.

01:08We know that he won't match with the ESPN Sportsbook because they just don't do that

01:11with their personalities at ESPN outside of ads.
