00:00The Philippines continues to advance when it comes to the use of innovation as a partner in the development of the economy.

00:09The Philippines ranked the country 3rd in the 2024 Global Innovation Index, or GII, from 56th place in 2023 to 53rd place today.

00:22The country is higher than the 54th ranked target of the Philippine Development Plan 2023 to 2028.

00:32According to Canada Secretary Arsenio Balisacan, this proves the country's commitment to the use of innovation and to strengthen our competitiveness in the domestic and global market.

00:45Meanwhile, the country placed 73rd place in the Digital Governance Index.

00:51The Philippines surpassed the country by 16th place in the E-Government Development Index.
