00:10Justice Colin Lawrence-Sequeira fixed the date after submissions were completed for
00:13the prosecution's case at the KL High Court on Thursday.
00:18Submissions for the prosecution's case began on August 18th and lasted 12 days.
00:23Najib is on trial for a total of 25 charges, 4 for abuse of power that allegedly brought
00:28him the financial benefit to the tune of 2.28 billion ringgit and 21 for money laundering
00:35involving the same amount of money.
00:38The prosecution trial ran over 6 years in the span of more than 200 days.
00:43Najib was first charged at the Sessions Court on September 20th, 2018.
00:48The case was later transferred to the High Court on October 31st the same year.
00:53The trial began on August 28th, 2019.
00:57A total of 50 prosecution witnesses testified.
