00:00The charges proffered against Datuk Seri Najib Razak are valid and correct in law, says the

00:09Justice Colin Lawrence Sequeira, who's reading his decision in the RM2.28 billion 1MDB trial
00:15on Wednesday, said that it was the contention of the defence team that Najib's charges were
00:20defective, duplicitous and ambiguous.
00:24The judge said he found the charges fulfil all the legal criteria under the Criminal
00:28Procedure Code.
00:30He also said that he did not find Najib to have been misled by the charges.
00:34On the issue of hearsay evidence, Justice Sequeira said he found the communication between
00:38the witnesses and the persons not found were made during the ordinary course of business.
00:43Upon examination of the evidence, Justice Sequeira said he found the oral communication
00:50to be admissible in court.
