00:11in Black Myth Wukong. Be warned, there will be major spoilers ahead.

00:41During Chapter 4, players can unlock the secret area Purple Cloud Mountain, home to one of

00:46the most frustratingly epic bosses in the game, the Scorpion Lord. Between his giant

00:51claw and his long poisonous stinger, the destined one will have to be completely focused

00:56to beat this boss. If successful, they are rewarded with weapon and armour materials,

01:00but most importantly, they will receive the Stained Jade Gourd, which gives a giant boost

01:06to your drinking speed. Make sure not to shy away from this yaoguai, as killing a later

01:10boss, Duskveil, will make him disappear entirely.

01:20Yellow Long Throughout the game, players can encounter

01:29a total of four secret long bosses after obtaining the Long Scale in Chapter 2. The final of

01:34these mythical dragons is the Yellow Long, and he is without a doubt the coolest and

01:38most difficult of the bunch. Found in Chapter 4 in the Webbed Hollow, he appears after defeating

01:43the other three, and he is one hell of a match for the destined one. From his spinning combos

01:48to his powerful flying attacks, players will need to bring their A-game to beat this optional

01:53boss. Once successful, players are rewarded with the Longstaff Weapon, alongside the amazing

01:58Golden Lining Transformation spell, allowing you to turn into a long yourself.

02:11Spear Moveset All players will be familiar with the standard

02:22staff moveset, however, did you know a separate weapon type exists, with its own moveset?

02:28These are spear type weapons, and the first can be unlocked in Chapter 3, after completing

02:32the Prisoner questline and defeating all four captains of the chapter. Other than this,

02:37the Tri-Point Double-Edged Spear can also be acquired, but needs you to unlock the game's

02:41secret ending. Spear weapon types have an entirely new light attack combo, alongside

02:46additional thrust attack damage, so if you're looking to spice up your attacks, this is

02:50the perfect weapon choice.

02:58Upgraded Pilgrim Set The Pilgrim Set is one of the first armor

03:06sets players will find in the game. With initially poor defense stats, a lot of players

03:10will brush it to one side. However, if upgraded to Mythical Rarity, it can be one of the best

03:16sets in the game. In its standard form, it provides increased sprint speed, allows using

03:20the gourd while sprinting, and grants an additional 100% damage boost if running for 10 seconds

03:26straight. Its mythical form is even better, and gains focus when sprinting, making it

03:31one of the most powerful armor sets in the game. Its initially poor defense makes it

03:35easy to ignore, but this set is worth upgrading to the max.

03:50Chapter 2 Secret Area is perhaps one of the most exciting in the game. Featuring an amazingly

03:55fun fight with the Tiger Vanguard, and then an even more incredible boss fight with Fubon,

03:59the Giant Scarab Yao Guai King, it's a wonderfully animated and dynamic fight. With one of the

04:05largest bosses and arenas in the game, its second phase is even more epic, as the original

04:10Yellow Wind Sage decides to jump to your aid, with a goose bump inducing cutscene leading

04:15to one of the most fun second phases in the game.

04:27The Zodiac Village The Zodiac Village is the primary NPC hub

04:31in Black Myth, but despite its importance, it's completely hidden. Players need to complete

04:36a questline to Chen Long in Chapter 3, after which they will receive a scroll that allows

04:41them to instantly travel to this almost essential zone. The most crucial NPCs can be found here.

04:47Some of these, such as the Yin Tiger, are especially vital, since he allows the upgrading

04:51of weapons and armor, alongside selling some scarce materials that will be necessary to

04:56max out all your gear.

05:04Not only does the Yin Tiger strengthen your gear, but he can also be challenged to a duel.

05:09If players try this when they first meet him, they'll be in for one of the toughest boss

05:13fights of the game. Alternatively, he can be ignored until later on in the game, which

05:18makes him significantly easier. Successfully besting this absolutely brutal tiger will

05:23provide players with exceptional rewards, like the legendary Iron Armor set, his monstrous

05:28greatsword and the Ebon Flow transformation, which lets you transform into the Yin Tiger

05:33yourself.

05:39Final Boss Yeets Your Gourd

05:52Some players were initially disappointed at not playing as Sun Wukong, since he was shattered

05:56into six relics within the first ten minutes of the game. Instead, they play as the substantially

06:01less cheeky and charismatic Destined One, a stereotypically silent protagonist.

06:06The final boss sees players fighting the Great Sage's Broken Shell, and despite being

06:11an empty husk of the Great Monkey King, that doesn't stop him from monkeying around. During

06:16the fight, he will immobilize you when using your gourd, and sip it himself, stealing your

06:21health straight from you. Other flexes include him grabbing your staff and slamming you to

06:25the ground, making Sun Wukong's Broken Shell the most disrespectful boss in the game.

06:37Wukong Stance Upon completing the game three times with

06:44the true ending, max out all six relics, equip the Monkey King Armor Set, and then use a

06:50heavy attack with all four focus points to unlock this stance for roughly a minute.

06:55This is the stance used by Sun Wukong in the tutorial fight against Erlang Shen, and unlocking

07:00it completely cements the Destined One as the Great Sage Equal to Heaven Reincarnated.

07:05It features some amazingly impressive heavy attacks and combos, which can't be performed

07:10in other stances. Unfortunately, it's an absolute challenge to unlock, making it one

07:15of the game's best kept secrets, but it's incredibly rewarding to acquire.

07:23Erlang Shen If players complete the secret areas of all

07:31chapters and make it to the Melon Fields in Chapter 3, then defeat the Great Sage's

07:36Broken Shell, the game's true final boss, Heaven's Greatest Warrior God Erlang Shen,

07:41can be found at the Great Pagoda. Upon successfully beating him, Shen recognizes you as the Great

07:47Sage Reincarnated, and requests you both get drunk in Heaven before continuing the amazingly

07:52impressive fight. This will provide players with the game's true ending, with the Destined

07:57One finally reaching the power of Wukong once more, but this time he avoids Heaven's headband

08:02and becomes Wukong Reborn, but now he's completely and entirely free.
