00:13Sherping the tires a little bit, deep thrum from the engine, 5.1 seconds to 60, really

00:20starts to taper off around 90, but then it gets a little second wind.

00:26Definitely feel the power dip there.

00:28All right, let's do some brake stops.

00:34Another car that doesn't feel great under panic braking, 124 feet, there's nothing wrong

00:40with that.

00:41It's not great, but it's not offensively bad.

00:49You saw a really bad axle hop there during that brake stop.

00:53Again, this is like chassis dynamics basics that every Western automaker would solve.

01:02You would never have that.

01:03That's probably a suspension geometry issue, and Lincoln Co. is a Geely brand.

01:09It's not a small company.

01:11It's maybe a new brand, but it's from a large industrial automaker that you would think

01:16would know how to do some of that stuff.

01:24Woo, there are some clunks and thunks going on.

01:27So here's the thing, I came to China expecting to find out that they had the tech totally

01:36sorted on plug-in hybrids and EV, and it's my understanding that the charging is not

01:43all that reliable, even though people by and large rely on public charging.

01:48Somebody told me that a fast charger is about 70% reliable, and this plug-in hybrid, yeah,

01:56they've got bigger batteries to give you more electric range than most US plug-in hybrids,

02:01which is a big improvement, but from like an NVH integration standpoint, this thing

02:06doesn't feel like it's any better than US or European automakers have done.

02:12There are a whole lot more plug-in hybrids here.

02:15There's more demand for them than in the US.

02:17Remember, they're only like 2% of the market in the US.

02:20I just feel like maybe the whole, hey, China's coming to eat your lunch thing is kind of overblown.
