00:00Hi guys and welcome to DriveSpark, I'm Prameet and today is going to be a long-term review

00:05of the Renault Triber that we have.

00:28This is an automatic variant and I'll be telling you that I have driven the car for

00:32almost close to around 2500 kilometers within the city and a little bit on the highway.

00:38So today's video is all going to be how this car drives through the city, how practical

00:43is this car and let's quickly start this video.

00:46So first things first, little bit on the outside, so this is the top of the line automatic variant,

00:52so this gets DRLs, it gets Merica headlights and I mean it looks really nice, especially

00:58in this all blacked out theme.

00:59Moving on to the side, you have wheel arches and then you have integrated indicators, again

01:05an LED, apart from that wheel that you see over here, obviously the flex wheels and they

01:10look really nice, they look like alloy but they are steel wheels and the steel wheels

01:13are covered in such a way, I mean they give an appearance that they are alloy wheels.

01:18Obviously you have around 182 mm of ground clearance which is very good, moving on to

01:23the back, you can see you get split tail lamp design, you get your Renault Triber badging,

01:27you also get a wiper with a washer, you get defoggers and you also have a rear parking

01:32camera that is pretty clear and that is job really well.

01:36Now moving on to the inside, inside is again mix and match of black, grey and the upholstery

01:42is also slightly greyish and black, I mean you can call it like black almost, it's as

01:49you can see over here, interior is nice, the driving seat is really nice, you get a height

01:54adjuster for the driver, manual and you only get a tilt, you do not get a telescopic steering

02:01wheel, so there is only tilt option and this option is obviously very good because it helps

02:06you find the right driving position, within the city, there is no problem, this car may

02:12look big, it is a 7-seater but manoeuvrability is excellent and that is because it has a

02:17very light steering wheel, helps you to move through traffic very easily, however this

02:23is powered by a 1-litre, it's a 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine and this

02:28engine pumps out around 71bhp of power and around 96nm of peak torque and that comes

02:36weighted to either a 5-speed manual or an AMD gearbox, now the AMD gearbox is pretty

02:40convenient, it's a pretty robust gearbox, that I would say, it is slightly slow but

02:45it does its job really well, sometimes it takes its own time to shift up or shift down

02:50or when you're on an incline, this also gets a hill hold assist, so when you're at a slope

02:54and you release the brake, the car will not roll back, a very good feature again that

02:59I found useful when you're on flyovers and I mean, you really have to stop and go, also

03:06guys, one more thing, the amount of space that the Triberr has to offer and this as

03:11in, I mean, the seat configuration, you can use it as a 5-seater, you can use it as 6-seater

03:16or a 7-seater but however, with all the 7 seats up, you have around 84 litres of boot

03:21space which is expandable up to 625 litres when the rear 2 seats are removed, so yeah,

03:27you can remove the seats, keep it at home and then you have around 625 litres of boot

03:31space which is massive and still can take around 5 people, middle row is good, one thing

03:37I'd like to point out is the AC is excellent, you have ACs for all the rows, front row,

03:43obviously, you have a front, now for the second row, you get the AC vents on the pillars,

03:47on B pillars and for the third row, you get it on the roof and that can be controlled

03:51from here, so you have a fan speed knob over here, so you can control the rear AC vents

03:56and that cabin really cools down fast because of this, I mean, the AC is excellent, also,

04:04if we talk a little bit about the interiors, then you get a touchscreen over here, you

04:08get a digital instrument cluster that, I mean, obviously, you've seen on the Kaizer now,

04:13it has changed and it's a 7-inch LCD screen and that's really nice, it gives you a lot

04:18of information about the car, plus the suspension of the car is actually very good, I personally

04:24like it, it is very well balanced and when there is slightly load, it, I mean, obviously,

04:29it comes down a little bit, but that time the car becomes much more stable is what I

04:32felt, overall, the suspension is soft, this is not a car that you will go around corners

04:38cornering hard and this is more towards your cruising and your day-to-day city use, so

04:45the suspension according to that is very nice, bumps and potholes are easily absorbed, NVS

04:50levels have also improved a little bit, but yeah, the engine is slightly noisier on higher

04:55revs, you can hear the engine revving inside the cabin, however, that will not interrupt

05:01if you're talking or if you're having a conversation, top speed, if you wanna ask, it's around 150

05:07kilometres an hour, but please don't do that, we'll check that while testing, also the brakes

05:12are also good, so it has a disc set up at the front and a drum set up at the rear, it's

05:17got ABS, it's got traction control, it's got airbags and this is a four-star rated car,

05:23so safety wise, this, I mean, you can definitely look into this and if you're planning to buy

05:28a seven-seater and you don't have the budget of a very expensive car, then you can go check

05:33out the Renault Triber because this is an excellent option, I would really suggest people

05:38to go check this out, I mean, the price, if you talk about the price, the top of the line

05:43variant that we're driving is around Rs 9 lakhs ex-showroom, so, I mean, in Rs 9-10 lakhs,

05:51if you're getting a seven-seater that has a modular seating set up, it's got the features,

05:56it's good in safety, it's good to drive around, you can definitely go check the all-new Renault Triber.
