00:00Another sad news, a Pinoy folk singer named Caritha passed away.

00:06The life of Pinoy folk icon Socorro Avellino, who is more known to the public as Caritha, came to light.

00:14This was revealed by his partner Luisito Santos through broadcaster Julius Babau, who announced sad news to the public.

00:24The singer-songwriter passed away last night, September 17, on Friday.

00:29According to the statement of his partner, while they were watching Caritha, she became weak and had difficulty breathing.

00:37Until she recovered from their home in Tagaytay.

00:42It can be remembered that Caritha was choked and bedridden before her funeral.

00:47Luisito added, they immediately cremated the body of the singer according to his request.

00:53Even so, Luisito's brother confirmed that there will be a public viewing for Caritha's urn in Tagaytay next weekend.
