00:00It was great, and apparently...
00:03Hi, my name's Noah Ritter, and I am known as the Apparently Kid.
00:06I've never been on live television before.
00:09I was interviewed when I was about six or five at a county fair,
00:13and I said the word apparently a lot, and people liked that,
00:16and so the video went viral, and then it got turned into a meme.
00:19Apparently, sometimes I don't watch the news.
00:23So, it's like a... there was a news station around this fair,
00:28and me and my family had just gotten off a ride,
00:31and they were right next to an area,
00:33and my grandfather, who's also... who's, like, my best friend,
00:37he, like, pushed me towards the news station lady,
00:41and he started talking to me, and then I stole the microphone away from her,
00:45and I just started rambling on about what I did at the fair.
00:48Because I'm a kid, and apparently every time...
00:51Apparently, Grandpa just gives me the remote after we watch the Powerball.
00:56I started talking about the different rides I went on and stuff like that.
01:00I was always a very talkative kid.
01:02I'd go up to anyone.
01:04Like, they could have been a complete stranger,
01:06and I'd go up and talk their ear off.
01:08I'd rant about anything I was interested in that day.
01:10I was a very outgoing kid. I still am.
01:13Tell me about the ride. What did you think about the ride?
01:15Well, it was great!
01:17Why?
01:18Because apparently you're spinning around,
01:20and apparently every time you get dizzy.
01:23I think it's because whenever I go on, like, a long,
01:26tangent or talk for a while,
01:28I use, like, and, and us, and stuff like that.
01:31My mom had been trying to make me stop saying and and us
01:34because it didn't sound too good.
01:36So I just replaced and and us with apparently.
01:42Yeah, the night we got home,
01:44my grandpa called me out of the living room,
01:47and he was like, look at the TV.
01:49Like, look, you're on the news, and you're famous.
01:51And I remember watching it,
01:53and I remember, like, a bunch of family members
01:55calling me and congratulating me.
01:57I've never, ever been on live television.
02:00I'll never, ever be on live television.
02:02I think the next day, the same news station
02:05came down to my house for a follow-up interview.
02:08I used to like the Giants,
02:10but my grandfather brainwashed me
02:13into, into liking the Steelers.
02:17Well, my, my friends didn't believe me at first
02:19because I went to always, like, talk about, like,
02:21extravagant, like, adventures and stuff like that.
02:24And then sometimes they would be real,
02:26sometimes they'd be clearly made up just from my imagination.
02:28But once they saw that it was actually me,
02:30they were pretty excited for me.
02:32My mom was, my mom and my stepdad,
02:34they were also pretty excited.
02:36And some of the reactions, like, in the comments of the video,
02:38they were talking about, like, oh, this kid's really cute.
02:40Oh, this is hilarious.
02:42Like, they're laughing about how I just stole the microphone
02:44from a lady, and I just started rambling on about everything.
02:47And whenever we'd go out to, like, the movies or something,
02:50or go out to, like, the store,
02:52people would see my red hair,
02:54and they would see me, or they'd hear me talking,
02:57and they'd be like, oh, my God, that's the Apparently Kid,
02:59and they'd come up and ask for a picture,
03:01or, like, a high-five or a handshake.
03:03Thanks, bud. I'm a big fan of you.
03:05Well, I always, I grew up watching YouTube.
03:07I was kind of, I was, I was mostly, like, raised on the Internet,
03:10so I watched a lot of YouTubers and, like, Let's Players
03:13and stuff like that, so I was always, like,
03:15I always wanted to be like them.
03:17I always wanted to, like, be an Internet personality,
03:20talk in front of a camera for, like, an hour or two every day,
03:23and just have fun.
03:24Guess what?
03:25What?
03:26You know what I did in my hotel room?
03:28Tell me.
03:29I jumped big to big!
03:33It just, it feels kind of crazy,
03:35because whenever I'd be, like, watching, like,
03:38I'd be just watching some random YouTube video,
03:40and if the guy who was, like, talking in it
03:44would say, apparently, there was a chance that, like,
03:47a picture of me as a little kid would pop up,
03:49and I've seen, like, a bunch of one.
03:51Like, every time my friends see one, they'll, like, send it to me.
03:54I've had, uh, I've had teachers in class, like,
03:58pull up one of my videos, because they didn't believe me,
04:00and then they, then they watched the video,
04:02and they're like, oh, my gosh, that's really you.
04:04I just freak out!
04:06I think a month or two after my interview,
04:09the guys at Schmoyoho,
04:12they wanted to remix the interview into, like, a song,
04:14because they used to do, like, a series about that.
04:26And they've done it, and they did a remix of that remix recently,
04:30and I posted it on my YouTube channel.
04:32Like, my nickname on my football team
04:35for my entire freshman year was Ellen.
04:37Yeah, and by the way, I love how you get to jump onto bags.
04:41Yeah, well, that's what you do in hotel rooms.
04:44I think everybody here gets in a hotel room,
04:46and you jump on beds, don't you?
04:48So it's like, no matter what.
04:50I think one of the coaches called me at one time,
04:52and I was like, oh, my gosh,
04:54this is going to stick with me all four years of football.
04:56So when you're doing this,
04:58is your grandpa opening the minibar, or what's happening?
05:02It's my mom's boyfriend. He opened...
05:06This guy, Grandpa Randy,
05:10that's why I was going to the bar.
05:13Yeah.
05:14Well, it's definitely calmed down a little bit.
05:16I haven't been, you know, flying out to L.A. and stuff like that,
05:19but I'm still posting on my YouTube channel.
05:22Like, whenever me and my grandpa go to a movie,
05:24we'll do, like, a quick review about the movie.
05:26We'll talk about how we enjoyed it.
05:28Just going to school, doing football, stuff like that.
05:31It was amazing.
05:33The guy that was interviewing me, Jeremy LeJuan,
05:36he was great. He was amazing.
05:38He was so nice. He was really cool.
05:40I'm going to be honest.
05:42He was more famous than me at that fair
05:45because everyone knows him as the weatherman.
05:47He had a bunch of old ladies coming up to him,
05:49like, oh, I love you on the weather.
05:51And he's trying to move them over to me.
05:54And walking around the fair,
05:56looking at all the old history and stuff like that,
05:59he was really interested in that.
06:01My grandpa definitely had fun talking to him
06:03about, like, old farm equipment.
06:05And they filmed me jumping on the bed,
06:07just slamming down on the bed.
06:10Wow. You just...
06:13really love... you just love life, don't you?
06:16What I can say, he's a really amazing person.
06:18He's always pushed me to do new stuff
06:21and do it at, like, 110%.
06:26He's always been, like, looking out for me.
06:28He was kind of like my agent when I was young,
06:30before I hired, like, an actual agent.
06:32He made sure that I wasn't doing anything, like...
06:35I wasn't, like, signing any, like, bad contracts
06:38that were gonna, like, mess me over.
06:40So he's always been looking out for me.
06:42And he's always... he always accompanied me
06:44on every trip to California or any other place
06:46where I wasn't at home.
06:48Yeah, I'm on Instagram.
06:50I think it's the__apparentlykid.
06:52It's a little picture of me as the profile picture.
06:55And, yeah, my YouTube channel is the__apparentlykid.
06:58And, yeah, like and subscribe to some of my videos
07:01and watch out for future content.
