00:00This goth content creator wants to permanently make her skin blue.
00:03Her name is Sadie Slime, and she's been taking over social media for her all-blue skin and
00:07chromagoth style. Now, she wants to be blue permanently. But why is she blue in the first
00:11place? Sadie has been making content and working as a model online since as early as 2021. Her
00:16content was mostly focused on a goth aesthetic, until 2025, when she started regularly posting
00:21photos and videos with her skin dyed blue. In February 2025, she posted a video of herself
00:26painted fully blue for a cosplay of Elden Ring character Rani the Witch, marking one of her
00:30earliest pieces of blue content. Sadie continued to post photos in the blue dye throughout 2025,
00:35some gaining thousands of reposts, like a tweet showing herself in 2017 versus 2025 that gained
00:41over 16,000 likes in just a few months. In a tweet made around the same time, Sadie guessed that her
00:46desire for blue skin comes from her Pictish ancestry. The Picts were a group of people in medieval Scotland
00:50who allegedly used a plant called woad to paint or tattoo their bodies blue. This practice is even
00:55thought to have inspired Mel Gibson's blue face paint in the movie Braveheart. According to Sadie,
01:00she achieves her blue look by mixing Lickotex acrylic in light blue violet with Prosade cosmetic
01:04latex adhesive. Sadie's blue skin may just be a dye, but she wants it to be permanent. After a viral
01:09trip to New York in September 2025, Sadie made a post about taking off her blue makeup, writing,
01:14Just washed off, but I really want to be blue again right now. She then started talking to commenters
01:18about wanting to permanently make herself blue. One user suggested collodial silver, but she responded,
01:22Unfortunately, it wouldn't achieve the blue I want to be, so I'll have to do full body tattooing.
01:27While Sadie is most known for her blue skin, she's also known to post content with all red skin,
01:32making her resemble a devil and even green skin. Between the chromogoth looks, Sadie also posts
01:36content with no dye at all, showing off a more classic goth look. Sadie's blue skin has caught the
01:41attention of many Twitter users, who are reacting to her and making memes out of her posts. For example,
01:46one Twitter user gained over 130,000 likes by responding to a selfie of Sadie with a red person.
01:51One, why is HRT turning people into primary colors? Another gained over 50,000 likes by writing,
01:56Amusing myself with the thought of a gimmick account commenting on all her posts,
02:00You will never be blue, mocking a transphobic statement used by online trolls.
02:03Sadie is taking the virality in stride and posting memes herself. In one viral post,
02:07she took a selfie in front of an all-blue painting, writing,
02:10Taking a picture with my dad, to over 22,000 likes. There is no confirmation on whether or not
02:15Sadie will pursue tattooing her body blue, but based on the reactions from people online,
02:18it might be a solid career move.
