00:00Hi, welcome back to my channel.
00:02In this video, I will explain the ending of Loop Track.
00:04So, let's begin.
00:06Written and directed by Thomas Sainsbury, who also acted in the film as the lead protagonist,
00:10Loop Track is a survival thriller that talks about the fear and paranoia in the human mind
00:14and the urge to fight those negative emotions.
00:17The story follows an introverted, socially anxious Ian who decided to go hiking in a
00:22deep, dense forest to detach himself from the mundane world, but amid the darkness of
00:25the forest, he saw something that his other fellow hikers couldn't comprehend.
00:30Let's dive deep into the story of Loop Track to find out what exactly Ian saw behind the
00:34trees, just to let you know this video will contain spoilers.
00:38Loop Track began with Ian in his car, arriving near the forest, when an indigenous woman
00:42knocked at his car window and started talking gibberish, which somehow frightened Ian and
00:46made him uncomfortable.
00:48Soon we understand that Ian was a quiet and nervous kind of guy who was extremely anxious
00:51around people, especially if they're strangers.
00:54However, probably his decision to go hiking was some kind of break from the regular world
00:58he lived in or the claustrophobic situation he dealt with in the city.
01:02Perhaps he went hiking to face his ultimate fear and try to get over it.
01:06On his way to the forest, Ian first stumbled upon a guy named Nicky, an over-enthusiastic,
01:11blabbermouth hiker soon became curious about Ian's life.
01:15From Ian's conversation with Nicky, we came to know that Ian was separated from his wife
01:18and left his career as a businessman.
01:21After that, Ian and Nicky came across an Australian couple, Austin and Monica, who
01:25were on their honeymoon.
01:27At night, all four of them took shelter at a cabin in the forest.
01:31While Nicky was getting along with the couple pretty well, Ian had hidden himself in a corner.
01:35He had brought meat, which he tried to cook, but out of panic, he burned the food.
01:40Monica and Austin were a little bit judgmental of Ian for this weird behavior, so he decided
01:44to leave the cabin right away.
01:46However, outside, Ian saw a giant shadow behind a tree, which freaked him out, so he rushed
01:51back to the cabin and decided to stay there for the night.
01:54What happened to Monica and Nicky?
01:56The next day, the four of them left the cabin and traveled through the forest to another
02:00cottage nearby.
02:02There they found some bags, but there were no people to be found inside, which worried
02:05them a little.
02:07Ian began to get suspicious of Nicky, and because of the tension, he couldn't even
02:10sleep at night.
02:12Ian repeatedly tried to communicate with the group that he could sense something dangerous
02:16was around there in the forest, but no one paid attention.
02:19That night, Nicky came to his aid and asked Ian to pop some sleeping pills to get some
02:23proper rest.
02:25Even after taking the pills, the anxiety was still kicking in, prompting Ian to look into
02:29the bags that were found in the cabin.
02:31He pulled a digital camera out of the bag and found that the bags belonged to two women.
02:36However, he also found Nicky's picture in one of their photos.
02:40Ian connected the dots and came to the conclusion that Nicky had probably killed these women,
02:44but before he could confront Nicky, Ian fell to the ground unconscious.
02:48The next day, Ian woke up and told Monica and Austin that Nicky couldn't be trusted.
02:53Even Monica and Austin began to question Nicky's presence, but before things could come to
02:57a head, those two women came back to the cabin to take their luggage.
03:01Everyone judged Ian and his paranoid behavior, but Nicky, realizing that Ian must have been
03:05dealing with some internal problems, forgave his actions.
03:08Ian also realized that he was unnecessarily questioning Nicky, so he decided to be more
03:12expressive and friendly with him.
03:15After the two girls, taking their luggage, took off in a different direction, Ian, Nicky,
03:19Monica, and Austin began their journey towards the rainforest and waterfall.
03:24Halfway through, the couple decided to part ways to have some time to themselves, while
03:27Nicky and Ian managed to arrive near the waterfall.
03:30However, back in the forest, when Ian lost his torch and went deep into the bushes to
03:35fetch it, he started once again to see a giant bird-like figure.
03:38He rushed back to Nicky and tried to warn him, but Nicky once again thought Ian might
03:42be seeing things.
03:44After that, when the two of them sat for a while and Nicky needed to answer nature's
03:48call, the bird-like monster preyed on him, eventually killing him.
03:52Ian didn't witness Nicky dying in front of his eyes, but he could sense that something
03:55terrible had happened to him.
03:57Monica and Austin arrived there in the meantime, but they didn't want to include Ian in their
04:01group anymore.
04:02They were extremely frightened to see Nicky gone, and now they believed that Ian might
04:06have had something to do with it.
04:08However, as Austina and Monica decided to leave Ian behind, the bird monster captured
04:12Monica and ate her bottom half.
04:15This time Austin and Ian witnessed it all and realized that Ian hadn't just been seeing
04:18things all along, but that it was actually a beast preying on them.
04:22How did Austin die?
04:24Back in the cabin, Austin finally believed Ian and they decided to remain in the cabin
04:27to save themselves from the beast.
04:30But the beast soon appeared outside the cabin and tried to break into the room.
04:34The beast managed to get into the cabin and killed Austin, however, as it went to attack
04:38Ian, he fought with the beast with great courage and strangled it to death.
04:42After the beast died in the hands of Ian, he finally had some courage to go outside
04:46into the forest.
04:48With no one alive, Ian, alone, went out of the cabin and ran towards the exit.
04:53But on his way, he realized that he had killed only one of the beasts, while others were
04:56still alive and roaming around the jungle.
04:59One of those beasts attacked Ian and even injured him badly, but Ian managed to defeat
05:03the creature once again and ran away.
05:05In the concluding scene of the film, we saw Ian finally out of the forest, stopping a
05:09car and asking for help.
05:12Did Ian face his fear?
05:13Loop Track is a survival psychological thriller that shows Ian as a mentally tormented persona
05:18who fights his negative emotions, especially fear.
05:21He had lost many things in his life, including his wife and his career, so fear of losing
05:25things always occupied his mind.
05:28The constant fear led to his paranoid personality, which made him socially awkward and nervous
05:32around strangers.
05:34His fear of attachment was also causing him to isolate himself, constantly urging him
05:38to think that he was a worthless being who didn't deserve happiness.
05:42It's his voices in his mind that eventually led him to see the giant as his biggest fear,
05:45but fortunately, at the end of the film, we saw Ian facing his fear and learning how to
05:49tame it.
05:50However, the trauma and fear never truly leave us forever, but human beings eventually learn
05:55to deal with them.
05:57Even though the giant beast died in the cabin, the fear continued to exist in the form of
06:00other beasts that were waiting outside the cabin to prey on Ian, but Ian eventually eluded
06:04those creatures and came out of the forest victorious.
06:08That's all for now folks, I would appreciate it if you could give the video a super thanks
