00:00Hi, welcome back to my channel.
00:02In this video, I will explain the ending of The Kill Room.
00:04So, let's begin.
00:06The movie follows the story of Reggie, who, upon one of his handler's requests, decides
00:10to become a part-time painter to launder money for the company he works for.
00:14What starts out as a discreet business deal quickly snowballs into the whole art world,
00:18vying for a piece of Reggie's work.
00:20The film is also a reaction to the current cultural trend of finding art in everything,
00:24be it a plastic bag stained with blood or a string of thread attached to two iron rods.
00:29Here is everything you need to know about the ending.
00:31Reggie is a highly skilled assassin with a handful of anger issues.
00:35The movie kicks off with him lying about buying a coffee from a local store just to know if
00:39there aren't any security cameras.
00:42And when he learns there aren't any, he drags the store owner from behind the counter and
00:45kills him with a plastic bag.
00:47Reggie is an interesting character who enjoys true crime podcasts while walking down the
00:51streets.
00:52However, the company Reggie works for runs into problems, justifying their finances,
00:57and decides on an unconventional approach to hide their money trail.
01:00Unfortunately, the guy who used to launder their money, turning them from dirty to legit,
01:05was arrested by the police and sent behind bars for years, leaving them to find new ways
01:09to deal with the money.
01:10That's where Uma Thurman's character, Patrice, comes in.
01:14Patrice is an art curator, in debt from dead to toe.
01:17She owns an art gallery housing dozens of paintings, but the place, for some reason,
01:21is always empty.
01:23Gordon learns about Patrice from one of his friends and decides to strike a deal that
01:27will benefit them both.
01:28Gordon proposes a deal, he will give Patrice a painting and some money, and in return,
01:33she'll cut him a tidy check minus her commission.
01:36Even though Gordon's deal is very tempting, Patrice denies it.
01:39Gordon leaves the gallery, but not before he hands Patrice his card, you know.
01:44In case she changes her mind.
01:46However, Patrice has a change of heart once his biggest artist leaves her for her arch
01:50nemesis Nicole.
01:52Who's the bagman?
01:54Gordon asks Reggie, but this time, rather than asking him to kill someone, he asks him
01:57to grab a brush, dip it in color, and paint whatever he wants, pizza, a man running on
02:02the streets in his tidy whitties, a cat, a man with a mustache anything.
02:06He also proposes to his partners that if they need someone to bite the dust, they'll need
02:10to buy Reggie's art.
02:11In return, the curator will cut them a nice clean check, turning their dirty money into
02:15a legitimate one.
02:17Soon, Patrice cuts Gordon his first check after receiving a painting from his hitman
02:21turned painter, Reggie, aka Bagman, Reggie kills people with plastic bags.
02:25Soon, Patrice's business starts soaring, earning her many new clients, even those who had left
02:30her for her rival, Nicole.
02:32As for Reggie, he becomes an overnight sensation.
02:36Everyone wants at least one of Reggie's paintings to hang on their walls.
02:39Curators from Milan and many other cities start bugging Patrice, trying to strike a
02:43deal with Bagman, but Patrice denies it.
02:46And why would she share his greatest artist?
02:48The world is going mad over Reggie's painting, calling it a masterpiece.
02:52However, all Reggie does is mix some color around and literally throw it on a canvas
02:57to mix it.
02:58Patrice meets Reggie, and the latter asks what she makes about him after looking at
03:02his art.
03:03Patrice responds that if he paints his own sentiments, people would be able to look into
03:07his soul.
03:08How did Patrice find out the truth?
03:10At Reggie's apartment, Patrice even finds a bunch of blood-soaked plastic bags and hangs
03:14them in his gallery by pasting them on a piece of cardboard.
03:18Patrice names the art the reflection of consumerism.
03:21But in reality, it is plastic bags that Reggie used to kill his targets.
03:26Patrice throws a huge party to unveil Reggie's next art and introduce her newly acquired
03:29clients.
03:31At first, Patrice thought Gordon and Reggie were some small-time drug dealers looking
03:35to launder the money.
03:36Unfortunately, at the party, she finally realizes that Reggie is a hitman by looking closely
03:41at the plastic bags.
03:43She even ends up puking on his art.
03:46Reggie's revelation sweeps Patrice off his feet.
03:48Furthermore, she begins contemplating how many years of prison time she'll get for laundering
03:52money for a bagel shop that kills people.
03:55Patrice thought her career would be over after this.
03:58However, it pushed her gallery and bagman's reputation to new heights.
04:03Reggie's alias makes headlines at the Herald, citing his pieces as, emotionally complex,
04:07yet accessible.
04:09Reggie's boss, Andre, on the other hand, isn't thrilled and believes Reggie's art would land
04:13them in prison.
04:15He invites Patrice and Reggie to his restaurant and makes it explicitly clear not to attract
04:19unwanted attention since it can hurt their real business.
04:22What's the Red Book?
04:24Reggie has grown tired of his criminal life.
04:27He doesn't want to kill people anymore.
04:29So what does Reggie want?
04:31He wants to paint and pour his feelings on a canvas for people to enjoy while they sip
04:35their favorite wine.
04:36He no longer wants to work for Anton and Andre and contemplates using the Red File.
04:42What's the Red File?
04:43It's a file containing the names of unkillable people, drug dealers, weapon dealers, sex
04:48traffickers, kingpins, people everyone wants to be taken out but no one can get to.
04:53Patrice decides to help and, through her connections, arranges an audience with a big-time arms
04:57dealer, Raman Rashikov.
04:59He is one of the names on the list.
05:01But how?
05:03Patrice arranged Reggie's meeting with Maxine, a big-time art critic.
05:07Maxine's article made a splash, attracting Rashnikov's attention, who just conveniently
05:11happened to be an art collector.
05:13Rashikov has cost Anton millions, and he has been desperately trying to take him out.
05:17However, he failed every time as Rashikov boasts some impressive security that can sniff
05:22dangers from a mile away.
05:24Towards the end of The Kill Room, Roman arrives in Miami for Bagman's final art piece.
05:29Subsequently, Patrice introduces him to the notorious and highly acclaimed Bagman.
05:34Patrice and Reggie plan to stream Rashikov's murder to her entire gallery.
05:38Reggie pulls out his plastic bag and begins smothering Rashikov to death.
05:42However, towards the end, he tricks Anton into doing the rest.
05:47The duo then puts his body in a shipping crate and requests May to ship the crate to an unknown
05:51warehouse.
05:52Patrice also sells the plastic bag that Reggie used to kill Rashikov to one of her wealthy
05:56clients.
05:58As for Reggie, he already had a boat in place to escape.
06:01Patrice also buys her freedom from Andrei by offering him the check for Reggie's final
06:05piece and threatening her that if anything were to happen to her, a dossier of the evidence
06:08would find themselves in a police station, implicating Anton in Rashikov's death.
06:13That's all for now folks.
