00:01In this video, I will explain the ending of The Family Plan.

00:04So, let's begin.

00:06Simon Celan Jones's action-comedy film The Family Plan, centered around the Morgan family,

00:10we have Dan, a preowned car seller, his wife, Jessica, a physical therapist, and their three

00:15children, Nina, Max, and Kyle.

00:18Dan seemed to be just a regular family guy, but his strange obsession with not having

00:22his picture published anywhere was odd from the very beginning.

00:25Jessica appreciated her husband's loving gestures, but at the same time, she could

00:29not deny the monotony she experienced in the relationship.

00:32Kyle was a gamer boy, and since his father had banned gaming at home, he found the perfect

00:36alternative to keep his passion going.

00:38Meanwhile, Nina decided to give up on her career goals after her boyfriend, Trevor,

00:43convinced her to do so, a decision that the rest of the family disapproved of.

00:47The regular family, with the usual problems, ends up in the most outrageous situation that

00:51they perhaps had never dreamed of.

00:53A trip to Vegas ultimately brings the family together in the most unexpected way.

01:03It was their 18th anniversary, and just like every year, Dan took Jessica to the amusement

01:07park where they had met each other for the first time.

01:10Dan loved a routine, and with him, even the celebration was exactly the same every year.

01:15Jessica loved her husband, but she wanted to break free from the routine.

01:19Dan enjoyed being the family man, he was a responsible father and a caring husband, and

01:22he was proud of the way his life had been shaped.

01:25He would not have preferred changing any aspect of it had he not met a bunch of teenage

01:29boys on the night of their anniversary.

01:31They clicked a picture of Dan and Jessica and refused to delete it.

01:35Dan wanted to teach the boys a lesson, but he did not wish to create a scene in front

01:38of his wife.

01:40He went back home, but a part of him regretted not taking any action.

01:44We soon find out in the family plan who Dan is.

01:47While shopping for diapers at the convenience store, a man attacks Dan, and he takes down

01:51the stranger with some swift moves.

01:53Dan hurried home and packed his bags, knowing that he was no longer safe in Buffalo.

01:58He called up his old friend, an expert in forging IDs, to make fake passports for him

02:02and his family.

02:04After promising to hand him the cash, Augie agreed to the deal.

02:07Dan picked up Nina from school, and while looking for Kyle, he found out that his son

02:11had never given up on his gaming dreams.

02:14But Dan had no time to spare and rushed to Jessica's chamber to convince her to join

02:17them on a road trip to Las Vegas.

02:20Jessica had always wanted spontaneity, and while she did not expect Dan to be this spontaneous,

02:24she ultimately agreed to travel to Vegas by road.

02:27Dan soon realized that he was being tracked down, and to get rid of the men, he entered

02:31the car dealership store and found the tracking device.

02:34He fixed the device on Hal's car, and finally, it was time to head to Vegas.

02:38The people who were after him did not give up, and at night, when his entire family was

02:42fast asleep except his toddler Max, the only one who knew what his father was up to, Dan

02:46tackled the attackers and was out of the messy situation with only a crack in his rear-view

02:50mirror.

02:51The next morning, the family was surprised to find out that they were in Iowa.

02:56Dan did not sleep the entire night to keep his family safe.

02:59Nina was adamant about checking out Southern Iowa University, the college where Trevor

03:03went.

03:04While Jessica was completely against the idea, they ultimately decided to give it a go.

03:09Nina ended up getting heartbroken after finding out that Trevor was cheating on her.

03:13But thanks to her father, she quickly learned a Kyusho Jitsu move that helped her teach

03:16Trevor a lesson.

03:18With no phones to distract them, the Morgan family felt closer to each other than before,

03:22especially Nina and Kyle.

03:24Strangely enough, the trip was going great, but every once in a while, Dan came face to

03:28face with his enemies, and he took down one man after another.

03:32How did the truth surface?

03:34After plenty of distractions, Dan and his family were finally in Las Vegas.

03:38Dan prepared to confess the truth to Jessica, but before he did so, he met with Augie.

03:43The passports were ready, and Dan was set to move to Vancouver with his family.

03:48At dinner that evening, Dan was almost ready to come clean, but the thought of ruining

03:51Jessica's perfect night made him change his mind.

03:54Meanwhile, the kids were supposed to be in the luxurious suite, but they decided to venture

03:58out.

03:59Kyle was a popular gamer boy, and he wanted to check out the gaming competition that was

04:03taking place in Vegas.

04:05He finally met his fellow gamer friends, and he was requested to join the team to play

04:08the final battle.

04:10Meanwhile, Nina met Ron, a gaming expert, at the show, and romantic sparks started to

04:14blow off soon.

04:16Things were going great for the kids, or so they thought, they were unaware of the assassins

04:20waiting to get hold of them at the gaming center.

04:23When Dan and Jessica returned to the hotel for a romantic night, they soon encountered

04:26more assassins.

04:28Jessica had no idea what was going on, but seeing Dan with a gun in his hand and a blade

04:32snuck in his sock pretty much summarized the story for her.

04:35Dan managed to kill the threats, and he and Jessica headed out to get their kids.

04:40Jessica refused to speak to Dan, she felt cheated after finding out that he had been

04:43lying to her for the past 18 years.

04:46While Dan claimed to love his family life, it was obvious to Jan that he did enjoy indulging

04:50in violence.

04:52She felt she discovered a new Dan in the course of the trip, and after finding out the truth,

04:56she realized that maybe he did miss his past life.

04:59Kyle and Nina laughed when their father claimed to be an ex-assassin, but as soon as they

05:02saw Dan in action with a gun in his hand, their jaws dropped.

05:06How did Gwen trick the family?

05:08After his family found out his secret, Dan sat them down and told them his whole story,

05:12or at least some of it.

05:14Dan's real name was Sean, and after losing his mother at a young age, his violence-prone

05:18father had been an influence.

05:20At the age of 18, he joined the army, and he was great at his job.

05:24His life took a turn when a former SAS agent named McCaffrey approached him and recruited

05:28him for a special program.

05:30McCaffrey had become a father figure, and he trusted him blindly.

05:34The special operations were initially legitimate, but McCaffrey gradually became even more greedy,

05:38and he used men such as Sean as mercenaries.

05:41Jessica and the kids were shocked to learn about Dan's past.

05:45Even though they were family, he chose to hide an integral truth about himself.

05:49When he handed his family the forged passports, they refused to go along with him.

05:53They loved the lives they had built, and they could not imagine leaving them all behind

05:57and starting all over again.

05:59Jessica announced that she would make her own decision, and she contacted Gwen.

06:03Jessica met Gwen at the gym during a kickboxing class.

06:06She claimed to be in the travel business and arrived in Buffalo to meet her ex.

06:10Jessica contacted her to find a way to travel from Las Vegas back home.

06:13Sean knew that his family would be in trouble if they went out on their own, but they refused

06:17to listen to him.

06:19Soon, Jessica and the kids figured out that Gwen had laid a trap, and they walked into

06:22it.

06:23We find out in the family plan that Gwen was Sean's ex-girlfriend, and when she learned

06:27that he had settled in Buffalo, she wanted to see for herself the life that he had built.

06:31By the time Jessica realized she had made a mistake, it was too late.

06:35McCaffrey came on board, and Gwen handed over Jessica, Kyle, and Nina to him.

06:40Gwen was still in love with Sean, and he was all that she wanted.

06:44The family was taken over to the old Poseidon Casino, and Sean was asked to come and save

06:48them.

06:49Did Sean and his family make it out alive?

06:52During the family plan's ending, Sean finally comes face to face with McCaffrey and Gwen.

06:57He was ready to negotiate with them, but first, he wanted them to let go of his family.

07:01As it turned out, McCaffrey was Sean's father, and he had been searching for his son for

07:05years now.

07:06He initially wanted to seek revenge for Sean's betrayal, but after seeing how good of a killer

07:10Sean still was, McCaffrey was proud of him.

07:13Instead of getting rid of him, McCaffrey wanted Sean back in the business.

07:17Sean agreed to the deal, and Jessica, Kyle, and Nina were allowed to return to Buffalo.

07:22Leaving their father behind seemed unfair, and even though Jessica thought she did not

07:26have it in her to trick and fight mobsters, she was surprised to see herself come up with

07:29unique techniques to find a way back to help Sean.

07:32The Morgan family was finally back together after Sean knocked Gwen senseless with a Kyusho

07:36Jitsu move.

07:38Sean decided to make good use of Kyle's talent.

07:41The video gamer took control of the drone and helped his father fight his enemies.

07:45With Kyle's help, Sean was unstoppable, but things got a bit tense when Gwen woke up.

07:50When it came to her family, Jessica was ready to do whatever it took to protect them, and

07:53she ended up killing Gwen.

07:55After destroying everyone in the room, it was time for Sean to deal with his father.

08:00When he was in a tough spot, his family stepped in and distracted McCaffrey, and ultimately,

08:04Sean ended up knocking out his father.

08:07The family plan ends with the police arriving at the scene and escorting the Morgan family

08:10out.

08:11Six months later, we learn that McCaffrey was imprisoned, and Nina, who had always aspired

08:16to be a journalist, covered the story of the clandestine paramilitary group.

08:20We can assume that Sean cooperated to bring down his father and his group, and as a result,

08:24he was spared from any legal action.

08:26Sean started his own security company.

08:29After one adventurous road trip, the family committed themselves to going on a trip every

08:33year.

08:34The rule was still the same, no cell phones, during the trip.
