00:00Hi, welcome back to my channel, in this video, I will explain the ending of Lesson Plan,

00:04so let's begin.

00:07Lesson Plan is a 2022 drama action film directed by Daniel Markowicz, spoilers for the film's

00:12ending follow.

00:13The film begins with Damien working deep undercover.

00:17He is brought before the boss of the operation, who asks him why he seems twitchy.

00:22Damien really doesn't, but this is definitely a way to make him uncomfortable.

00:26The boss then reveals that he knows that Damien is a police officer.

00:30As the boss goons attack Damien, he takes care of them fairly quickly, demonstrating

00:34that he is a skilled martial artist.

00:36However, just as he goes to arrest the boss, the latter reveals that he has found out about

00:41his wife and has already sent people to take care of her.

00:44Horrified, Damien rushes back home and finds his wife's body.

00:49In the subsequent months, Damien descends into deep despair, finding solace in Lecour.

00:54Meanwhile, his best friend, Simon, a history teacher at Jan Sobieski High School, discovers

00:59that one of his students died due to a fentanyl overdose and reaches out to Damien for help.

01:05Damien accepts his dinner invitation and visits Simon's home but declines to help him, urging

01:09him not to do anything and advising him to go to the proper authorities.

01:13Their conversation is overheard by Simon's son, Kamil.

01:17A few days later, Damien sees in the news that Simon has been accused of supplying drugs

01:22to his students.

01:24After the death of one of those students, he apparently committed suicide.

01:28As Damien reels from being overwhelmed with grief, he realizes that his inaction ultimately

01:32caused this.

01:34The death of his wife buried Damien in depression, but Simon's death has the opposite effect.

01:40He rushes to his late friend's home and speaks to his widow and son before contacting someone

01:44to create fake IDs for him, so he can infiltrate Jan Sobieski as a history teacher.

01:50When Damien shows up for an interview, he discovers that the school's reputation is

01:54so bad that he is the only applicant.

01:57Other teachers even advise him to find a job somewhere else.

02:01Principal Leszek Zamoyski at least seems welcoming and optimistic.

02:04He acknowledges that the school has problems but seems to hope that things will eventually

02:08get better.

02:09Leszek introduces Damien to Agata, the deputy principal and Polish language teacher.

02:15As Agata shows Damien around the school, she introduces him to other staff members, including

02:20Stefan, the chemistry teacher with a speech disorder.

02:23Damien also learns that the school has hired a security agency since the incident with

02:28Simon.

02:29This agency is headed by Kmielski, whom Damien also meets on his first day at school.

02:34Who is behind the drug operation?

02:37On his first day in the class as a teacher, Damien encounters a young man who goes by

02:41the name Frogface.

02:43He is clearly older than the students there, and Damien throws him out of the classroom

02:47with the help of the security and Agata.

02:50Later that evening, he discovers that someone has sliced his tires.

02:54After he accepts a ride from one of his colleagues, they head to the parking area, where he finds

02:58Frogface and two of his lackeys assaulting Agata.

03:02Damien intervenes and beats the three goons up.

03:05The following day, Damien arrives at the school to discover that the students and teachers

03:09alike have found out what has happened, and he suddenly has a lot of admirers, including

03:13Agata, who asks him out.

03:16They go for a drink before heading to Agata's home.

03:19There, something Agata says triggers Damien's memories of his wife, and the date ends abruptly.

03:24Meanwhile, Frogface faces judgment from his gang after nearly getting caught.

03:29Zero, one of the troubled teens, is the head of the group, and he is trying to recruit

03:33a new member, Mammoth.

03:35When Frogface begs for mercy, Zero tells him it is out of his hands.

03:40This is when Kmielski arrives on his motorcycle, and it becomes clear that he and his security

03:44team are very much part of the drug operation.

03:47Kmielski ultimately lets Frogface live, but Mammoth breaks one of his legs to show that

03:53he can follow orders.

03:55At school, Damien tries to speak to Camel, who lashes out at him, holding the older man

03:59responsible for his father's death.

04:02Damien accepts the responsibility and admits that he is at the school posing as a history

04:06teacher in order to get justice for Camel's father.

04:09They don't exactly reconcile at this point, but things do get better.

04:13Mr. Camel gets beaten up while trying to protect one of his classmates, Amelia.

04:18When Damien discovers what has happened, he decides that it's imperative for his students

04:22to know self-defense.

04:24As he begins teaching them, Damien also starts dismantling the rampant drug operation at

04:29the school, finding the stashes and informing the authorities.

04:33Kmielski sends his subordinates, but they get beaten up badly.

04:37This prompts Zero to threaten Amelia's father to force Amelia to claim that Damien has sexually

04:42molested her.

04:43This works, and Damien gets suspended.

04:46After finding out why Amelia lied, Damien continues investigating and discovers that

04:51Stefan makes the drugs at school.

04:53However, the real leader of the operation is neither Stefan nor Kmielski.

04:58In the film's final act, it is revealed that Leszek runs the entire operation.

05:02Leszek claims that he has become disillusioned with teaching.

05:06The students don't listen and prefer to do drugs, so he thought he would help them with

05:10that.

05:11Ironically, despite not being a trained educator, Damien succeeds where others, including Agata,

05:17failed.

05:18He manages to reach the students by teaching them martial art and discipline.

05:22In the climactic fight, Leszek takes Agata hostage, forcing Damien to fight through Zero,

05:27Kmielski, and their goons with the help of his students.

05:31Damien kicks Kmielski, causing his death by electrocution.

05:35He then confronts Leszek and rescues Agata from him.

05:39Leszek shoots at Damien but fails to hit any vital points.

05:42This is when Kamil drops a container full of garden gnomes on the principal, killing

05:47him.

05:48The film ends as Kamil reunites with his mother, and Damien reunites with Agata.

05:53Who Killed Simon?

05:55Simon's death serves as a catalyst in the lesson plan.

05:58It pushes the plot forward.

06:01Before his death, Simon had created a hand-drawn map that can lead people to the headquarters

06:05of Leszek.

06:07Agata finds the map while cleaning out Sizmon's locker, and she and Damien use it to find

06:11the drugs.

06:12This also leads to the revelation that Leszek is behind the drug operation in his own school.

06:18It is heavily implied that Leszek is the one who caused Simon's death and ordered his

06:21people to make it look like a suicide.

06:24He also kept Simon's watch as a souvenir.

06:27J.Ro uses it to threaten Amelia, letting her know what would happen to her father if she

06:31didn't comply and falsely accuse Damien of molestation.

06:35After Amelia admits the truth, J.Ro and his gang attack her, which sends her into a coma.

06:41During the climax, Kamil thrashes J.Ro and declares it's for Amelia.

06:46After Leszek's death, Damien takes Simon's watch from the dead man's wrist and gives

06:49it to Kamil, signifying that their pursuit of revenge is complete.
