00:00What is it like to see so many women in rap now being, getting to be themselves?

00:05But I feel like you and Queen Latifah, for instance, were some of the first

00:09MCs that I saw who were getting to really get on TV, have their own primetime series,

00:16get in film, segue into other different avenues. You obviously, like you mentioned,

00:20you went on The Talk after that. And now I just feel like it's opened the door for women to be

00:27able to not just rap, and they're all getting to host award shows, they're getting to have podcasts,

00:34they're getting to do fashion collaborations. And I feel like you guys really opened up the

00:39door for those opportunities. So what is it like to see this advancement, not only in just

00:43the popularity and the breadth of female MCs out there, but just what they're able to do

00:49from where you came from? No, I think it's great. I mean,

00:56I feel like it also, it took long enough, because I feel like at one point, I feel like there were

01:03no female MCs out for a while. It was like, oh, there's maybe one, two, maybe there's three,

01:10and then we've had this amazing emergence of all these incredible female artists,

01:18which is great. Thank you, God, because we needed the balance. And it is so nice to see. It is so

01:24nice to see. I think, you know, like you said, for me, even Queen Latifah, for me, her career was

01:31a blueprint for me. So, you know, it's well deserved. I mean, these men been out here

01:37celebrating each other for years, doing stuff for years. So, thank God.
