00:00Social media influencers Mohamed Hazalif Mohamed Hazani, better known as Alif Tiga and Aisha

00:08Hijana Ajari, claimed trial at the Shah Alam Sessions Court on Monday to 10 charges of

00:13misappropriating funds collected for charitable activities.

00:18The couple entered the plea after all the charges were read out to them before Judge

00:22Awang Kerisnada Awang Mahmood.

00:24They were jointly charged with misappropriating over 1.53 million ringgit collected for charity,

00:31which included the purchase of the Quran and food for the poor in Mecca and Medina, flood

00:37relief in Kelantan and Terengganu, and raya clothes for orphans.

00:43The offences were allegedly committed in Bandar Baru Bangi between May 11, 2021 and July 2,

00:502024.

00:51The charges, framed under Section 403 of the Penal Code and read with Section 34 of the

00:57same law, provide a maximum prison sentence of five years, whipping and a fine upon conviction.

01:04The court allowed bail at 50,000 ringgit each and ordered the duo to report themselves at

01:10the MACC office in Putrajaya on the first week of every month.

01:16Aisha was also ordered to surrender her passport to the court.

01:20Her husband had surrendered his passport after he was charged with embezzling funds

01:25at the KL Sessions Court last Friday.

01:29The court also ordered the couple not to contact any witness in the case and fix November 27

01:35for next mention.
