Michaelmas Festival in Bishops Castle. Music, transport parade and Tv's Fuzz Townshend too.

00:00So what's your name madam? I'm Vicky, Vicky Robson. Vicky, great event here at Bishop's Castle today,

00:05are you part of the organising team? I am a small part of the organising team yes, I've helped to

00:09organise the stage this year. So if people haven't been to it before, fill them in, what goes on here?

00:14Okay yeah, a fantastic day, streets fair right down the street, we've got the steam engines,

00:20we've got the commercial vehicles and the tractors, they all do their parade, we've got the stage

00:24which is offering live music this evening, three local bands, we've got various street traders,

00:31street food and of course we've got all the usual pubs and cafes open serving their food too.

00:37It's awesome. And we've also got the walkabout street entertainers, so we've got people on stilts,

00:43we've got the Rajasthan Heritage Brass Band this year, we've got the Jester from Chester,

00:48yeah, what else have we got going on? Oh the Humbar Lions who are fantastic, they bring,

00:52they come every year, yeah, they bring their procession and yeah, entertain us in the street.

00:59So if you've missed it this year, fool you, but get your name down for next year.

01:03Definitely, hopefully Nuckermers 2025 will be just as good as this year.

01:53Mr Fuzz Townsend, hello sir. Hello, how are you doing? I'm good mate, I'm good. What brings you to

02:08Bishop's Castle then? Are you that used to live around this way? Well, I did used to live around

02:13this way. I love, I loved living in the town, lived here for about six years or something like that

02:18and then kind of moved out to the Sticks and was in the Sticks for another few years.

02:24Trouble is, it's a brilliant place to live, but it takes a long time to get anywhere.

02:28As I've discovered today, yeah, getting here slowly late.

02:32You know, I'm going to try and work on getting back here one day, it'd be nice to be out here.

02:37If you live in Bishop's Castle, if you live in Shropshire, full stop, it's a great place to be.

02:41Shropshire is amazing isn't it, you know, the undiscovered gem of the country I think.

02:45Exactly that, which you know, and I think it's kind of, in a way it's better kept like that,

02:50but we still need people to sort of like come out and see how magical it is.

02:55It is, there's a lot of it and a lot of it is brilliant.

02:58We want the tills in the shops to be ringing, but we don't want it to turn too much into a

03:01york do we, you know what I mean? That's true, that's true, but you know,

03:04bring it on a little bit, let everybody share in the fun and the good life.

03:09So you've been here on the mics haven't you, doing a comparing for the...

03:12I was doing the commentary today, as you can see behind here I have a PA set up,

03:18and so yeah, I've done the commentated on the roadrun, so my work is done now.

03:22So I can now have a little bit of a party.

03:24And chill out a bit.

03:25I've got my family with me, so we're going to have a mooch about and see what we can do.

03:29Awesome, and you've got, obviously people know you from the car show, which has gone insane.

03:35Who could have ever thought that, you know, it was going to go as big as it has.

03:38I didn't expect to be on the television, full stop.

03:41In fact, I got the call when I was living in Shropshire,

03:46and I used to commute from Shropshire, you know, into the West Midlands for many years,

03:51for about six years, until I had to kind of relocate really.

03:56But yeah, it's gone nuts.

03:59I'm also doing Shed and Buried as well as Car SOS now,

04:02so with Henry Cole, having a great time going into people's sheds,

04:06and we'd love to go into more, maybe.
