People on the Street: Air Fryers

Everybody loves air fryers right?  The convenience item can now be found in most British kitchens, with student in particular getting use out of them.  We went out into Manchester to ask people on the street if they had one, and what they used it for.

00:00Hi I'm Theo with Manchester World and today I'm out on the streets of Manchester asking people about air fryers.

00:05The reason for that is they've really overtaken everything in terms of cooking content on the internet, recipes online, they are everywhere.

00:12So we want to know if they've replaced people's ovens, how often they're using them and could they live without them?

00:17We had one last year and it did replace the oven but we've not bought one this year. I would like one but I don't want to pay for it.

00:23There's so many settings that everything can be used in it, like they're big enough like pizzas and everything.

00:28So I think they've just made it so useful for everyone that they'd rather use that.

00:32And obviously because it's so small you can just cook one meal or two meals all at once.

00:37It's normally just for me just because I don't want to wait for the oven to preheat.

00:41It's just out of laziness so it's normally just chicken, stuff like that.

00:44To be honest, the oven cooker. I don't know why I've not got one. I don't know, sometimes there's new technologies as well, it's a bit funny.

00:50Yeah, well we have to obviously plan who's using the oven at what time because we can't all use it.

00:55And you have to take into account obviously the preheating of the oven but it wouldn't really change how I eat.
