We went out onto the streets of Manchester to ask people on the street about takeaways and whether the cost of living has forced people to cut down on treating themselves.

00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. My name is Cyril Cousin Betts and today I'm out on the streets of Manchester
00:04asking people about takeaways and that's because everyone knows how much we enjoy a good curry or a Chinese here in the UK
00:10but with the cost of living rising it's become harder and harder to afford it on a consistent basis.
00:14We want to know if people have had to cut down or whether they're still able to get a takeaway as often as their heart desires.
00:20We don't get them often but if we do we have a treat with one so it's not really not too much of a difference for us real.
00:25I don't know because the price of food is going out that much anyway it's not too much of a difference between like getting a takeaway and stuff
00:31but obviously working in town it's a little bit different but yeah I've cut down obviously on takeaways and just nice things in general.
00:39You just get meat piece pizza and the scarlet bread and that's usually my size.
00:45Dream takeaway? Mexican at the moment. Mexican's where I'm at. Mexican's class.
00:49Yeah, yeah. There's a place in Ashton we usually go don't there. Tasty Lights and Wigan so I'll try to take them.
