00:00She has gone on an absolute heater since coming back from the Olympic break. And I think this

00:10is what I try to explain to people is the break that she needed to kind of get going.

00:15So you kind of look at what she's done for us. Since the Olympic break, the least amount

00:20of points that she's had is 18. She's got 20 or more in the majority of the games. She's

00:25gotten 8 to 9 assists almost every night. A bunch of rebounds. I said on my podcast

00:32last week, I thought that Kaitlyn, or I said it last week, Kaitlyn Clark is the third best

00:37player in the WNBA. It's Asia Wilson, Brianna Stewart, Kaitlyn Clark. They will not, and

00:44Carver High and I were talking during the break. I know they will not give it to her

00:50because of the season Asia Wilson has. Over a thousand points, broke the scoring record.

00:56But if this lady was not on Indiana Fever, where would they be? I mean, where would this

01:04team be? She's spearheaded this team that lost, what, their first five or six games

01:10to the number six seed. And I will say this right now. If they draw Connecticut in the

01:16first round, Pharrell, even as underdogs, I'm taking them to win this series because

01:23she is playing that good of basketball.

01:25Well, you know, look, I respect everything you say always with hoops in regards to that,

01:31but I think they'd be basically Dallas or LA without her. They'd be 7 to 9 wins. I think,

01:38you know, for my money, and I hate to dispute, but I would say for my money that Connecticut

01:44defense still to me is superior to anything that I've seen from the fever. And I mean,

01:50when it's playoff time, they're going to ratchet it up and they already have a great defense

01:54that we've seen. You've seen, I think they can cause problems if they were to play them,

01:59whatever it is. But the fact that there are six is all because of her. Now, I think Ali

02:05is a really good player and I think she's even better because of this girl. Clark has

02:10made her a way better player than we ever have seen her at the pro level. You've seen

02:15her great in college and she played on a team loaded with great players. She plays on this

02:21indie team with crap players without her. And then with her, you see the magic they

02:27got on the floor to get her. All it takes is two really good players and you got a team

02:31in this league.

02:32Well, I'll push back a little bit Pharrell because you're forgetting the third piece

02:37to this puzzle. And that's Kelsey Mitchell, who has been on an absolute heater since the

02:44Olympic break. She has gone over 20 points in every game but one. She had 30 points up

02:52between CeCe and her. Then at 68 points, she had six threes. I'm going to say this right

02:57now. That top three, four if you add Melissa Smith. But that top three of Clark, of Mitchell

03:06and of Boston is really, really good Pharrell. And here's the reason why I think they have

03:11a chance against Connecticut. Number one Pharrell, they have beaten Connecticut I think once

03:17or twice this year. Once, they've lost three games. Two of the games were in their losing

03:23streak to start the season including a four point loss. Scottie, they're playing a lot

03:28better basketball and what is the one thing that Connecticut can't do? Shoot the three.

03:34But when you got Mitchell and you got Clark, Pharrell, they're a heater away from stealing

03:41a game. I think they could be in a series versus Connecticut.
