00:00Could it be a season-changing type of victory for the Falcons out of nowhere as a pregame

00:16It seems like it because the Falcons entered this season as the minus 140 odds on divisional

00:21favorites in the NFC South.

00:23The optimism from the off season and the acquisition of Kirk Cousins.

00:27He was the guy at the quarterback spot with the young, talented pieces offensively around

00:32that position with an up-and-coming defense, defensive-minded head coach in Raheem Morris

00:37that could bring the Falcons to double-digit wins and a division title.

00:42But that seemed to be slipping away in the first seven quarters of this season for Atlanta.

00:48They found something last night.

00:50Kirk, 20 of 29, 241 yards and two touchdowns, 70 of the 241 coming on that final drive.

00:58That was the game winner.

01:09Still yet to find the end zone this year, but the Falcons got a big, big victory for

01:14their overall season outlook despite the fact it is just week two.

01:21Yeah, I tell you, more than anything else, I was impressed with the Falcon defense, Ben.

01:26In Philadelphia, scored a couple of times, but the one drive was just basically jail

01:30and hurt scrambling.

01:31And listen, it counts on the scoreboard, don't get me wrong, but that's not okay, running

01:35the ball, passing the ball, running the ball, passing the ball, moving down the field 70

01:39yards and you score a touchdown.

01:41That's just kind of flukiness for me.

01:43So I thought it was the Falcons defense that kept them in the game.

01:46There were many times where Philadelphia looked like they were going to blow the doors

01:49off this thing and make it a two, three score game and be a coast to a victory and the Falcon

01:54defense came through.

01:55So help Pittsburgh, albeit in a loss without a touchdown last week.

01:59So, you know, so far two weeks, all the emphasis has been on, you know, Kirk Cousins and rightfully

02:04so, perhaps on the Falcon offense, but the Falcon defense is pretty good.

02:09I still think the Saints, I mean, listen, it's turned into, and I did say this and you

02:13agreed, I believe before the season began.

02:17Last year, this was a bad division.

02:18It was a fair, equal balanced division, but it was four bad teams this year.

02:23I think it's three pretty good football teams.

02:25I think it's just as balanced, but it's not balanced because the teams are bad.

02:30It's balanced because the teams can be halfway good.

02:32I mean, I believe in the Saints Tampa Bay's won the division three straight times at the

02:36Falcons called the, there ended a bargain.

02:38That's going to be a tough division.

02:39It's no longer an automatic win.

02:41You face the NFC South outside of Carolina.

02:46And the Falcons had the second easiest schedule entering the year because they were the best

02:49team in what was perceived as a weak division.

02:52Hey, the Buccaneers who have won the divisional crown three consecutive seasons had a win

02:56total of seven and a half same with the new Orleans Saints who are the optimistic offseason

03:01team from a year ago that kind of floundered on that expectation.
