Weather in Sheffield for September 18, 2024. The Steel City will see a cloudy start ahead of some full autumnal sunshine between 1pm and 7pm, before some cloudy days this week to follow.

00:00Morning Sheffield, it's Alistair from the Sheffield Star. I'm coming to you with a very
00:04quick weather update for September the 18th 2024 which is a Wednesday. You'll notice that
00:10maybe the days are getting shorter. I get up at 6.45am each morning to go to work and
00:14for the first time today I noticed things are getting a lot darker. It's because sunrise
00:18is now at 6.45pm the moment I left the house so I certainly noticed it was gloomier anyway.
00:22But besides the point, despite some early cloudiness you've seen behind me, a little
00:26bit of overcastness. This is going to be a fairly warm and pleasant autumn day for
00:31us. We're going to have some pretty unbroken sunshine starting at around the 1pm area
00:35until the evenings. Temperatures reaching around 19 degrees tops, so to say unbroken
00:40sunshine for the middle of the day despite some cloudiness this morning and then again
00:44some cloudiness is going to set in for the evening as well. In fact it's going to be
00:48an overcast couple of days right through to the weekend actually. Thursday and Friday
00:53as well are looking pretty straight overcast too with very little chance of sun and maybe
00:57only sun returning on Sunday or so. We might be able to get a bit of awesome sunshine then.
01:02In the meantime we're in for one last very bright day for today followed by plenty of
01:06cloud unfortunately for the rest of the week. But autumn is here, it's the way it is.
