00:00Yesterday, we had Donald Trump who took to Truth Social and wrote in caps, I HATE TAYLOR

00:06SWIFT.

00:07Why is the former president going after this 34-year-old pop star essentially?

00:12Yeah, well, this obviously got a lot less attention once the assassination attempt on

00:18Donald Trump happened.

00:19But yes, in the hours before that happened, he took to his Truth Social platform and tweeted,

00:24I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT.

00:26And this arguably is because Taylor Swift will have likely an impact on this election,

00:31albeit it may not be huge.

00:33You have to remember that we are playing with an election here which will be decided on

00:36the margins, which could arguably be decided by 50,000 people just in Pennsylvania.

00:43So her tweet that went out, her Instagram post rather, that went out to over 280 million

00:50people could have an impact.

00:52I also spoke to a spokesperson from GSA, which is the government agency that runs Vote.gov.

00:59And they told me that in the 24 hours after Taylor Swift posted her endorsement of Kamala

01:04Harris, she posted a personalized link to Vote.gov to get people to register to vote.

01:11And in the 24 hours after that link was posted, just shy of 406,000 people clicked on that

01:19link.

01:20So that is a massive spike in traffic to the website, which normally gets about 30,000

01:25clicks a day.

01:26So well over 10 times the website traffic going through that site, thanks to that Taylor

01:30Swift posting.

01:31It must be said, however, it's impossible to know exactly how many people that resulted

01:37in being registered as new voters, because that website basically disseminates people

01:42to their own state websites.

01:45And it still nevertheless is a massive increase in traffic for that website.

01:50So Taylor Swift, a very popular musician, a very influential person in the United States

01:55and around the world.

01:56And no doubt that is why Donald Trump now says that he hates her.
