00:00Donald Trump delivered what was always going to be a contentious State of the Union address
00:04and the U.S. President was confronted right after arriving in the chamber.
00:08Democratic Representative Al Green held up a sign saying black people are not apes,
00:13a reference to a racist video recently posted online by the President
00:17that depicted Barack and Michelle Obama as monkeys.
00:20Shortly after Trump began his speech, Green was removed from the chamber.
00:25With the gold medal-winning U.S. Olympic ice hockey team in attendance,
00:30the President trumpeted his achievements in some balls of the improving the economy.
00:35One of the primary reasons for our country's stunning economic turnaround,
00:40the biggest in history where the Dow Jones broke 50,000 four years ahead of schedule, were tariffs.
00:49I used these tariffs, took in hundreds of billions of dollars to make great deals for our country.
00:55Trump also criticized the Supreme Court for ruling his tariffs illegal last weekend.

01:48to pay more than $1,700 each in tariff costs.
01:52Small businesses have suffered, farmers have suffered, some losing entire markets.

02:02Spanberger also highlighted the deeply unpopular actions of ICE in Minnesota,
02:07suggesting that Trump's opposition already have their talking points
02:11for November's midterm elections that will be held in a very divided America.
