00:13Listen, I'm telling you man. I'm watching everything. I watch on my tour bus and living room right behind us

00:19It's the coolest experience ever. That's why we love what we do too. Yeah, it's crazy, man

00:23I want to be in a TV show now so I can come every year, dude

00:25I'm calling all my country music friends and tell them we are missing the mark, dude

00:28We got to be at the Emmys. It is happening. You said it. It's gonna happen. Well, and you're not just here

00:34You're gonna be up on that stage performing during the in memoriam. What is what is that?

00:38Like to get asked to do something like that, man. It's an honor, you know

00:42It's an honor because tonight I've been selected to honor some of the greatest storytellers in the business ever

00:48And I'm a storyteller in my own regard and I think it's really cool that in a room full of storytellers

00:53We're gonna use music as a moment to honor some of them and and hopefully help that's what music's really about right music's medicine

01:03Yeah, and music has been medicine for you and I have to tell you this

01:07I just did our people cover story that's out this week with Snoop Dogg and he talked about his arc and his journey from

01:13Where he started to where he is now

01:14Tell us just a little bit about yours for the few people out there that might not know

01:18Oh, look, there's Dakota Fannin on the screen. I just met her. She was the nicest person

01:26Think just man. I don't want to be the guy. I just got to say it. Honestly, it's been God. It's been grace, man

01:33Not just the art the art followed the human

01:37The jelly roll story is the man evolved from being a very hateful spiteful

01:41victim mentality mad at the world kind of human to take an accountability and self

01:47And now tries to live in gratitude and the music just followed the art just followed wherever

01:52Hanging it as a human

01:53Well, and the fans have followed the art. So how is it? What is it meant to you?

01:57Informed by your art to go on a similar journey inside them incredible question, man. I think it's growth together

02:06the I think one of the worst feelings in the world is hopelessness and loneliness and I think that

02:11We're growing together because it's not feeling like we're alone anymore

02:13We're kind of in this fight together and that's what music does and it's what television does it's what storytelling does

02:18It's what art does in all categories. So I think I'm just trying to take them on a journey. I'm on

02:23Hopefully we'll grow together. It's so powerful what you're doing in

02:27Facilities and just across the board like really using your art to have an impact

02:33It's powerful, but I do have to ask you. Where is that fabulous wife of yours? Oh, I'm so excited

02:43We're in the middle of a tour right now. We played New Orleans last night and we're in

02:47So we uh, she took a day with the family to take him to the beach in my absence

02:51And I told her God had a little side quest for me. So I had to slide to LA and do this

02:56Yeah, how are you standing up right right now? Oh, man. I feel great, baby

02:59I'm I'm in the best shape of my life right now. Don't look like it, but that's where I am

03:05What is your key? What is your key to traveling and

03:09Or can you sleep anywhere at this point? Yeah, I'm a yeah normally on the bus between cities

03:15But sleep and water are my best friends, man

03:17I just sleep a lot and drink a lot of water and it's so easy to stay energetic when you know the message and the

03:22purpose
