00:00Hi, welcome back to my channel, in this video, I will explain the ending of Frasier Reboot
00:04season 1, so, let's begin.
00:07The Frasier Reboot ends with a Christmas-themed episode, which features several classic Easter
00:11eggs, not to mention the return of a fan favorite.
00:14The ninth episode of Frasier ended with Dr. Frasier and Freddy admitting that they both
00:17need each other on this journey.
00:19Dr. Frasier would need Freddy more.
00:22As a father, he felt he was always absent, and Dr. Frasier now compensated by being as
00:26present in Freddy's life as he could.
00:29The tenth episode is the Christmas episode.
00:31The holiday season has just begun, and it will be interesting to watch how father and
00:35son celebrate Christmas together this year as a team.
00:38Here's everything you need to know about the ending, just to let you know this video will
00:42contain spoilers.
00:43Dr. Frasier did not realize Christmas was around the corner, which made him miss his
00:47father, Martin, the most.
00:49Dr. Frasier probably had plenty of traditions that he followed with his father, and ever
00:53since he passed, there has been a void that the man is unable to fill.
00:57He was slipping into a slump of pain amidst the holiday season.
01:01Freddy wanted to help him process the pain and make sure to be there for his father.
01:05Dr. Frasier, to avoid being hit by the pain of losing a parent, decides to host an impromptu
01:10Christmas party to have his friends over.
01:12Even though a lot of arrangements were made at the last minute, Dr. Frasier seems to have
01:16everything ready, and all Freddy will have to do is manage a fancy Christmas dinner.
01:20Dr. Frasier, being a psychiatrist himself, never tried to use his therapy methods on
01:24himself to understand how grief works.
01:27He went ahead and chose to suppress the pain by planning a gathering so that he wouldn't
01:31have to think of the pain of losing his father.
01:33Eve was invited to the party by Freddy and Dr. Frasier, but she stayed away from the
01:37festivities this year owing to her boyfriend's death.
01:40It had hardly been a year since his death, and she wanted to stay away from the merriment
01:43because it would remind her that he wasn't around anymore.
01:47She would rather spend the night watching a movie and taking care of her son, John.
01:51Freddy understood her predicament and respected her choice.
01:54The man also realized he had some residual pain from the friend he lost.
01:59Freddy had also not processed the pain of losing his grandfather, and like his father,
02:03he managed to sweep the pain under the rug.
02:06Freddy is imitating the same behavior that Eve caught on to.
02:09Freddy wants to do something for both his father and Eve so that they will cheer up
02:12and not sulk in case things do not go as planned.
02:15Freddy is trying to hide his pain as well by micromanaging both.
02:19It was his way of coping with the grief of losing two people he genuinely loved.
02:23Why was Dr. Frasier panicking?
02:25Dr. Frasier, in a fit to organize an impromptu party, made a lot of blunder bookings.
02:30The string quartet he booked was wrong, and the bird they ordered was not cooked, and
02:34he ended up ordering one too many Christmas trees as well.
02:37Dr. Frasier went into panic mode because he was a perfectionist, and everything went pear-shaped
02:41very quickly.
02:43Freddy helped him bring the situation under control, but Dr. Frasier had already reached
02:47a stage where he could not believe things at the party were not going as he had planned.
02:51Dr. Frasier was spiraling because he had refused to deal with the grief.
02:55The party not going as planned was the trigger that was causing him to go into panic attack
02:59mode.
03:00How was Freddy helping Eve?
03:02Eve was feeling down as the night went on, and in a bid to make her feel better, Freddy
03:06sent over some of his friends from work to keep her engaged.
03:09Slowly, he started sending over some fancy food his father had ordered to her, along
03:13with some expensive alcohol.
03:15Soon, Eve's home became a party central, as many considered Dr. Frasier's affair way
03:19too dull for Christmas.
03:21Freddy, as a friend, wanted to be there for her because he could put himself in her shoes
03:25and understand the amount of pain she must be going through.
03:29They both lost a person they loved the most, and not having them around during the holiday
03:32season put them in a state of dismay.
03:35Freddy was keeping himself busy by running both parties simultaneously, while Eve was
03:38happy to have company.
03:40Eve is lucky to have a friend like Freddy, and as an audience, we wonder if there would
03:44be a love angle between the two of them later in the series.
03:47There are times when it is pointed out that Freddy may be harboring feelings for Eve,
03:51but the man is respecting the memory of his best friend and trying to keep those sentiments
03:54at bay.
03:55Nevertheless, an unexpected party at Eve's place was a success, while the planned party
03:59at Dr. Frasier's ended up being a dud.
04:02Everyone eventually went off to Eve's to celebrate.
04:05Why was Dr. Frasier mad at Freddy?
04:07Dr. Frasier quickly understood his party was a disaster, so everyone from his place moved
04:12to Eve's.
04:13He was even more livid when he realized Freddy was accidentally responsible for organizing
04:17the party at Eve's.
04:19Dr. Frasier was already anxious about a lot of things in his party that did not go as
04:23planned, and he was trying hard to salvage the gathering.
04:26He was angry at his son because he felt Freddy did not involve himself as much as he did
04:30with Eve.
04:31Dr. Frasier figured, as a son, he would understand what his father was looking for through this
04:35party.
04:36Dr. Frasier was trying but was in denial about the lot of suffering he was going through
04:40and things he could not control in his life.
04:43This was the only situation he could bring under his control.
04:46Even though Freddy flew his father's old colleague and friend Roz over to Boston to
04:49cheer him up, Dr. Frasier refused to see how much hard work Freddy put into making his
04:53father and his best friend happy.
04:56Was Dr. Frasier's Christmas party a success?
04:59Initially, the party was not a success because all of them eventually got bored, which is
05:03surprising.
05:04Dr. Frasier's parties are usually filled with intellectuals who love to hear his talk
05:08on high-profile subjects.
05:10This time everything was a misfire because Dr. Frasier was trying too hard in a short
05:14time.
05:15It seemed desperate just because he did not want to deal with the grief and have a quiet
05:19Christmas.
05:20Dr. Frasier ended up spending a lot of time with his old friend Roz, who was trying to
05:24talk some sense into him.
05:26Roz was the one who asked to sympathize with the fact that Freddy was also having his first
05:30Christmas without his grandfather and best friend by his side.
05:33It was more difficult for him but still, as a son, he was trying to make two people who
05:37meant the most to him happy.
05:40Instead of expecting Freddy to do everything for his happiness, her words implied that
05:43perhaps, as a father, he should understand his intentions as well.
05:47The party was indeed a success, and the episode ended with all the remaining guests of Dr.
05:51Frasier and Freddy joining at their apartment for the Christmas Eve dinner, which Freddy
05:54arranged for, and Dr. Frasier was happy to see them.
05:58Frasier could finally see Freddy with an empathetic eye and appreciate the fact that he would
06:02do anything for his father.
06:04This was a moment of happiness he was seeking for the first time in the last 48 hours.
06:09He was feeling content and happy.
06:11That's all for now folks.
06:12I would appreciate it if you could give the video a super thanks with a thumbs up and
