Life saving defib installed at Lancashire nature site

A defibrillator has been installed at Rivington Park as a tribute to a Lancashire dad who died at the site earlier this year.

00:18Cabinets says it is proud to announce that another wind and solar powered defib cabinet

00:23has been installed in Lancashire. This time it has been located at Riveting Park in Chorley

00:29and works as a tribute to a loving husband and father called Ketan Kumar Patel who sadly died

00:35after going into carjack arrest while out walking at Rivington Pike with his wife and daughter in

00:40May this year. While other walkers administrated CPR before the air ambulance arrived and tried

00:45to save Keaton's life, another local lady called Sarah supported Keaton's family by helping set up

00:51a Just Giving page and quickly raised enough funds for a defibrillator cabinet at Fico Rivington Cafe

00:57located at the popular walking destination between Chorley and Bolton. Although it was

01:02Keaton's tragic death that directly prompted the campaign, the defibrillator installation also comes

01:07a year on from the death of another local man in his 60s who collapsed at Rivington Pike in 2023.
