00:18Reynolds in the 2011 Green Lantern movie.
00:21According to multiple sources, the actor received an offer at the end of August.
00:24By the end of this past weekend, his mind was made up.

00:29Ozarks' Chris Mundy is showrunning the eight-episode series that is described as
00:32having a gritty, true detective vibe as it focuses on Jordan reluctantly mentoring a
00:36younger Lantern, Jon Stewart.
00:39Mundy is co-writing the series with Damon Lindelof, the creator of HBO's Watchmen
00:43and seminal TV show Lost, as well as comics author Tom King.
00:47The casting would have been another title in Brolin's comic book resume.
00:50He is a regular to the genre, most notably playing Thanos in Guardians of the Galaxy
00:54as well as in Avengers Infinity War and Avengers Endgame.
00:57He also played Cable in Deadpool 2, opposite Reynolds.
