00:02In this video, I will explain the ending of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.

00:05So, let's begin.

00:07James Wan's Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom starts from where it left off in its 2018 prequel.

00:12David was still out there seeking revenge for the death of his father, and he was willing

00:16to go to any extent to find a way to teach Arthur Curry a lesson and give him a taste

00:19of his own medicine.

00:21In the process, he ended up stumbling upon a secret that had been hidden beneath the

00:25depths of the ocean for centuries.

00:27So, let's find out what happened in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and if Arthur is able

00:31to stop Black Manta and restore peace in his realm, just to let you know this video will

00:35contain spoilers.

00:37David knew that until he was able to repair his Black Manta suit, he wouldn't be able

00:40to go after Aquaman and take revenge on him.

00:43David was soaked in vengeance, and he knew that he was ready to do anything, to make

00:47any sacrifice, and to go to any extent to avenge the death of his father.

00:52But the problem was that he was not able to find the ancient Atlantis technology through

00:55which he could repair his suit.

00:57Dr. Stephen Shinn was given the responsibility to carry out extensive research in and around

01:01the area where they suspected that there would be something hidden beneath the surface of

01:04the earth.

01:05Dr. Stephen knew that if he was not able to deliver, then David would definitely kill

01:10him.

01:11There were many instances where Stephen Shinn felt like leaving David and running away,

01:14but he knew that he couldn't do that.

01:17Shinn only wanted to prove to the world that an entire civilization existed beneath the

01:20sea and that he was not mad to believe so, but things had taken an extreme turn.

01:25He never knew that David would become such a monster and that there would come a time

01:28when he would be coerced to work and do things that he didn't want to be a part of.

01:32Stephen Shinn was on the expedition when he experienced a seismic event where the snow-covered

01:36ground gave way, and he fell into a deep and dark abyss.

01:40A huge snake-like creature attacked Stephen Shinn and his colleague, but somehow, the

01:44former was able to save himself and alert David and others about the strange happenings.

01:49David came, and he saw a hidden area where he found a trident that seemed to have certain

01:52magical powers.

01:54David touched that trident, and from that moment on, his life changed completely.

01:59He saw the vision of an army that was ready to help him in his battle against Arthur,

02:02and from that point in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, not only did David repair his suit,

02:07but he seemed to have gained access to the secrets of the Lost Kingdom.

02:11What did O.R.M. come to know about the Lost Kingdom?

02:14Arthur went to find O.R.M., as he knew that he would need his stepbrother in the battle

02:17that was going to come.

02:19O.R.M. was held captive in the deserter's prison, and he had resigned to his fate and

02:23left all hope of escaping from there.

02:25Arthur and O.R.M. had a hard time trusting each other, but slowly, they realized that,

02:30though they did start on the wrong foot, things didn't have to stay like that.

02:33Meanwhile, there were a lot of climatic changes happening at a very fast pace in the world

02:37that made the Council of Ministers at Atlantis very worried.

02:41Arthur and O.R.M. found that it was primarily due to David burning a substance called orichalcum.

02:46David used that as fuel, too, to kickstart all the old war machinery he had found using

02:50the mysterious powers of the trident.

02:53O.R.M. and Arthur found that David was operating from a place called the Devil's Deep, and

02:56they went there to see for themselves what exactly was happening.

03:00They were shocked at what they saw, and they got to know about David's devilish plans.

03:04David and his army attacked in full force once they found out that O.R.M. and Arthur

03:08had breached their fortress, and the two warriors from Atlantis found it really difficult to

03:12hold their ground.

03:13O.R.M. accidentally touched the same trident that David had found at the beginning of Aquaman

03:17and the Lost Kingdom, and through it, he got to know about the curse, the blood bond, and

03:21the monster named Kordax.

03:24Once O.R.M. and Arthur reached a safe place after somehow surviving the wreckage of the

03:27island, the former told everybody that he saw the Lost Kingdom in his vision.

03:32He said that it was called Nekris aka The Black City and was ruled by Kordax, the demonic

03:36king.

03:37He narrated the story and told everybody how, back in the day, King Atlan waged a war against

03:42his own brother Kordax.

03:44According to the lore, Kordax, the accursed, and his followers converted themselves into

03:48monsters so that they couldn't be killed, but Atlan trapped them into a blood spell

03:52and removed their mention from the chronicles so that the world didn't remember them.

03:56David just needed the royal blood to break the curse and set the army of Kordax free.

04:01He knew that once Kordax was behind him, no power could stop him from getting what he

04:04wanted.

04:06Was Arthur able to stop David?

04:08The twist in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom came when David realized that instead of Arthur,

04:13he could use his son's blood too to break the curse.

04:16Arthur, at the beginning of the film, had found out that his son could also talk to

04:19the fish kept in his aquarium.

04:22He hadn't told anyone about it, but it didn't take David long to figure it out.

04:26David kidnapped Arthur's son and took him to Kordax's hidden city of Nekris.

04:30He was about to kill the baby when Arthur, ORM, and the entire army arrived there.

04:35A deadly battle ensued, and with the help of the whales, Arthur and the army of Atlantis

04:40were able to tackle the ultrasonic echo that David used as a weapon.

04:44David knew he would just have to hold back Arthur and his forces for some time until

04:47the ritual was complete.

04:49The army of monsters attacked the rulers of the Atlantean Empire, and at one point in

04:53time it felt like they would get the better of them.

04:56Meanwhile, ORM got possessed by Kordax as he touched the trident, and he went after

05:00Arthur.

05:01Both the brothers came face to face once again, and Kordax made it very clear that to stop

05:05him, Arthur would have to kill his brother.

05:08Kordax made ORM remember every defeat and every pain he had experienced back in the

05:12day, and he manipulated him into believing that his brother was his real enemy.

05:16Arthur called out to his brother, he remembered the time when he first met him and how ecstatic

05:20he was to have him in his life, he remembered that instance when his mother wished for them

05:24to unite forces and rule together, he relied on each and every fond memory to bring ORM

05:28back to his senses.

05:30Arthur's efforts paid off as ORM was able to overpower Kordax.

05:35During Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom's ending, Arthur was not only able to save his son but

05:39together with ORM, he was able to kill Kordax and escape from that godforsaken place.

05:44David realized that his defeat was guaranteed.

05:47Arthur wanted to save him but David was too arrogant to accept his help.

05:51David gave his life and it could be said that his own hatred ate him up.

05:56The rulers of the seven kingdoms came to the decision that it was about time they fought

05:59an alliance with the humans.

06:01They revealed themselves to the surface beings and combined their efforts to save the planet.

06:06It was a shocking revelation for human beings when they found out that an entire civilization

06:10existed in the depths of the oceans.

06:13Arthur represented Atlantis in the United Nations and he told them how they needed to

06:17embrace diverse cultures, look beyond their own vested interests, and once again respect

06:21what nature had given them and try to conserve its beauty for generations to come.
