00:00The Philippine National Police, or PNP, confiscated a firetruck owned by the Kingdom of Jesus
00:05Christ, or KOJC, and also ordered the opening of the Emerald Gate of the Jose Maria College,
00:12or JMC, which angered members of the religious group as they fear this will pave the way
00:18for the planting of evidence by the police.
00:21Authorities say the firetruck will be used as evidence in a case for violation of Batas
00:27Pambansa No. 880, or the Public Assembly Act of 1985, that will be filed against KOJC.
00:36Police Major Catherine Del Rey, PRO11, spokesperson, states whether there is a scanner in place
00:44or not, the authorities will not bring in anything that can be used to plant evidence.
00:49She added PRO11 is verifying information that digging was done in the basement of the JMC.
00:57For their part, the KOJC legal counsel alleged the forced opening of the gate, which caused
01:02tension earlier today, is clearly a harassment tactic intended to enrage members so that
01:08arrests can be made and can also allege that it will now be easier for the police to bring
01:14in anything into the compound without passing through a scanner.
