00:00Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is open to being investigated over claims that
00:07he deceived then-Yang Dutifatuan Agong, our Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, about statutory
00:12declarations during the process of appointing the Prime Minister after the 15th General
00:17Election.
00:18Commenting on a police report by Pemuda Bursatu on Friday, the Barisan Nasional Chairman said
00:23he has no problem with being investigated and is confident he has solid evidence related
00:28to the powers given to him by the MPs to form a government.
00:32Zahid said the 10 MPs who signed the SD did so to delegate the power to form the government
00:36to the BN Chairman, emphasising that the seats won are not personal property but belong to
00:41BN.
00:42Last Friday, Pemuda Bursatu Chairman Akmal Zahid Zainal Zahir filed a police report against
00:48Zahid who had previously said he had 30 SDs from BN MPs begging Anwar Ibrahim as Prime
00:53Minister.
00:54Akmal urged the authorities to investigate whether there was any deception or attempt
00:58to mislead the Yang Dutifatuan Agong during the appointment of the Prime Minister after
01:02GE15.
01:04The issue of these SDs resurfaced when Perikatan Nasional Chairman Muhyiddin Yassin claimed
01:09during the Ngegeri Bait election campaign last month that he had 115 SDs from MPs.
01:15Zahid had previously explained that Muhyiddin did not have enough support because 10 out
01:19of the 115 MPs had signed SDs for both BN and PN, leading to overlapping signatures.
