00:26one mind and one body in this world, and you can't start taking care of it when you're

00:33By that time, you'll have rusted out if you haven't done anything, so just remember that

00:41you've just got one mind and body to get through life with, and to do the most with it.

00:45What about life advice?

00:47You know, the most important thing, aside from the things I've talked about already,

00:53is really who you associate with.

00:54You want to associate with people that are better than you are.

00:56I mean, basically, you'll go in the direction of the people that you associate with, and

01:01you want to have the right heroes.

01:03You want people you better pick very carefully who you want to emulate, and obviously, you

01:09can't pick your parents.

01:10They're going to have enormous influence on you, but you don't get a choice on that.

01:15But you get choices as you go down the line, and who you want to copy, and the most important

01:22for most people, in terms of that decision, is their spouse.

01:25It's also important in terms of a partner in business, but the partner in life is the

01:30most important.

01:31You want to pick a spouse that's better than you are.

01:35Biggest mistakes people make in the U.S.?

01:38They just don't realize that all you have to do is just buy a cross section of America,

01:42and they never listen to people like me, or read the papers, or do anything.

01:46They think that because you can trade, you should trade.

01:50You buy a farm, you buy an apartment house, you can't resell it tomorrow.

01:54Now you get something handed to you, liquidity, which is instant, you can sell, and the cost

01:59of doing it are pennies, compared to other kinds of investment activity.

02:03So because they can so easily move around, they do move around, and moving around is

02:09not smarter than investing.

02:10You have a pretty cool morning routine, regarding what you have for breakfast, and how prosperous

02:16you eat.

02:17What is that?

02:19I eat exactly what I like to eat.

02:22If somebody offered me a deal, when I was 20, and said, you're going to live one year

02:25longer, instead of living to 88, you'll live to 89, or whatever it may be, if you eat nothing

02:31but broccoli, and Brussels sprouts, and onions, and all these things, I just said, I'll take

02:36the last year off, it probably won't be that good anyway.

02:40I eat what I like.

02:43What's your opinion on broccoli and Brussels sprouts?

02:45Depends on the person.

02:47Much more than it depends on the school.

02:49Some people are going to get a lot out of advanced education, and some people are going

02:53to get very little.

02:57I don't even think it's important that every person go to college at all.

03:00We have all kinds of jobs at 70, or 12,000 a year, 80,000 a year, that college training

03:07is not of use.

03:10I actually was not keen on going to college myself.

03:15My dad kind of jollied me into it, he could get me to do anything.

03:19I knew I could have a good time, and I liked investing, and I didn't really feel, I could

03:23read the books.

03:26It's a big commitment, to take four years, and the cost involved, and maybe the loans

03:30involved, and everything, I think, depending on what your interests are in life, I don't

03:36think it's for everybody, I think it's for a lot of people.

03:39But there ought to be a reason you're going, and I didn't really see much reason.

03:43If you get to be 65 or 70, and later, and the people that you want to have love you

03:50actually do love you, you're a success.

03:54I've never seen anybody that reaches that age, I mean, I'm not talking about somebody

03:58that's in extreme poverty, or pain, or something, but I've never seen anybody that, if they

04:02have a lot of people that love them, that is other than happy, and I've seen some very,

04:08very wealthy people that they give testimonial letters to, and name schools after, and everything,

04:14nobody loves them.

04:16The best investment you can make is in yourself.
