00:00The Carlsbad Coffee Club is an integral part of Beatles history. Now fans of the Fab Four
00:06will be able to stay at the club where the band played some of their earliest gigs.
00:10Yes, it is Beatle themed. It's not in your face. You know, it's a subtle undertone.
00:16But it's unique in the fact that there's nowhere else in the world,
00:20in the world, and I'll stress that, where we can lay claims to the Beatles played here,
00:26Beatles slept here, Beatles partied here.
00:29The Grade II listed building in West Derby has been developed to incorporate five separate apartments,
00:34one for each of the Beatles that played and stayed there from 1960 to 1962.
00:40There's the Lennon Suite, McCartney Suite, Harrison Suite, Best Suite, Sutcliffe Suite,
00:45and of course in the basement, the famous Carlsbad Coffee Club itself.
00:49Evelyn and Andy have been some of the first guests to stay at the suites.
00:53I would like to be able to stay in each room, so I want to try and work my way through all the rooms
01:00and then no doubt do the whole thing again.
01:03I think that the, you know, what Mona did with the cafe and then,
01:06you just, that bit of grass out there, can you imagine all the kids out there
01:10seeing rock and roll for the first time, it's just wow.
01:13We've been to the Casbah and it was so exciting and it's so important in the history of Beatledom.
01:20The Casbah on its own and Mona Best brought about many pivotal moments in the early days of the Beatles.
01:25Original Beatles drummer Pete Best, alongside his brother Rogue,
01:28have been working on converting the house since 2020,
01:31saying they are proud to continue with their mother's dream.
01:35As a family home, it's a wonderful extension of seeing Mo's dream come alive
01:40and we're able to do it and to stand back, you know, when we finished the project
01:47and we took a deep breath and looked at it, there was a sense of pride,
01:53there was a sense of love, there was a sense of emotion.
