00:00The lineup they had yesterday, in spite of the output,

00:02is the best lineup they've had all year long.

00:05I mean, with Kostas back, with O'Neal back,

00:07and we've seen it now, guys, for three weeks.

00:09This offense is awesome.

00:11I mean, what's crazy is they're scoring almost seven

00:15runs a game, and they're below 500 for a three-week span,

00:19which tells you where this thing is headed and where it's been.

00:22But the offense is awesome.

00:24A big part of that is the way that Alex

00:27does maximize all of those so-called platoon advantages,

00:31where he has pushed all the right buttons.

00:34Obviously, a part of adding to that awesome offense

00:37is Tristan Kostas' return.

00:39A couple of weeks ago, our guy Lou Merloni talking to him,

00:42he was kind of, I think, tampering expectations

00:45a little bit with, you know, get your timing back.

00:48It can take a while.

00:50And Kostas has looked pretty good out of the gates here.

00:52I'm just wondering what your view from the press box

00:55has been of Tristan Kostas for a few games here.

00:58Yeah, super impressive.

00:59I was with Lou, and I still remain kind of there

01:01in that I don't think we should all expect, you know,

01:05the monster that we saw in the second half of last year,

01:08where he was kind of the best hitter in baseball,

01:10nor the guy who got hot in April before he got hurt.

01:13But, you know, it reminded me this weekend

01:16that one of the great things about Kostas the player

01:20is that in some ways he's kind of slump-proof

01:23because he's got such a great feel for the strike zone.

01:26And he showed that again in Baltimore.

01:28He got five hits, and, you know, he took his walks,

01:31and he really moved the line effectively.

01:33So, you know, he doesn't have the power yet.

01:35We'll see whether that comes here in Houston or not,

01:37but he is, he's still himself,

01:41and his DNA as a hitter is really cool to watch.

01:43And he just adds another layer to this lineup.

01:46And, you know, back to the other Andy's question

01:48about Alex Cora and pushing all these buttons,

01:50I think it's so cool how he splits up

01:53Devers and Kostas in the lineup

01:55to make it really hard for opposing managers

01:58to figure out where they're going to go

02:00late in games with lefties.

02:02It just allows them to have so many more weapons offensively,

02:06and they really are swinging it right now.
