00:00House of the Dragons showrunner has revealed when the Game of Thrones prequel series will come to an
00:04end. Ryan Condal answered burning questions about that season two finale and says the show will
00:10likely end with season four. I apologize for the wait but we're going to pull off a hell of a win
00:16with the Battle of the Gullet. He noted the rest of the story's plan was mapped out after the first
00:20season. He also said season three will go into production early next year. In addition the next
00:25season will likely also consist of eight episodes. Elsewhere in the virtual press conference the
00:30showrunner was also asked about the eight episode second season ending right before a highly
00:35anticipated battle sequence. The decision to include a surprise Daenerys Targaryen cameo
00:40and more. On the criticism surrounding the what many may call a lackluster season two finale,
00:46Condal noted one of the things that came into play in season two is what is the final destination of
00:51the series and where are we going. It was a combination of factors that led us to rebalance
00:55the season knowing now where we're going. We just wanted to have the time and the space to do that
01:00at a level that is going to excite and satisfy the fans in the way it's deserved. We also wanted to
01:05build some anticipation toward it. For more on this story head to THR.com and for the latest
