00:00Revelation chapter number 20 in verse number 4

00:05The Bible says that I saw

00:07Thrones and they that sat upon them and judgment was given unto them

00:11And I saw the soul of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus and for the Word of God

00:18And which had not worshiped the beast neither his image neither had received his mark upon their foreheads or in their hands

00:26And they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years

00:30But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection

00:38Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection on such the second death hath no power

00:45But they shall be priests of God and of Christ and shall reign with him a thousand years

00:51The title of my sermon this morning is the first and second

00:58resurrection the first and the second

01:01Resurrection, let's have a word of prayer. We'll get right into the sermon father in heaven again

01:06We thank you for the privilege of being able to come this morning and being able to worship

01:10We thank you for the singing this morning and God

01:14I believe this morning that the Spirit of God is dwelling among us and working with us and God

01:18I pray that you would just speak to hearts as we preach the Word of God this morning

01:23I pray this morning that we would see Jesus for who he is

01:27I pray Lord that we would look at ourselves to make sure that we are the children of the Living God

01:33Lord, if there's someone here, that's lost. I pray that person would be saved God

01:38I pray that you'd help us to look at our families and our friends

01:41And see their spiritual condition and witness to them and win them before it's everlasting too late

01:47And we're going to thank you this morning for what you're about to do in Jesus name. Amen

01:54So this morning as we conclude our study on prophecy for this week we come to the subject today

02:02the first and the second

02:06resurrection

02:07The first resurrection mentioned in the Bible is a resurrection to eternal life

02:14The second resurrection that is mentioned in the Bible is a resurrection to eternal death

02:22Daniel prophesied of this in Daniel 12 and verse number 2 when he said and

02:27many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake watch this some to everlasting life and

02:34some to shame and everlasting

02:38contempt

02:39The first resurrection takes place more than once in the scriptures as a matter of fact

02:46It's a series of different resurrections at different times

02:51but yet it's categorized as the first resurrection because God wants us to

02:56Understand that there is a difference between the first and the second resurrection

03:02Again, the first resurrection is a resurrection for those who have been saved

03:07But the second resurrection is a resurrection for those who have not been saved and have been lost

03:16This morning as Jesus died on the cross at Calvary and as he gave his life for the sins of the world

03:23And as his blood was shed

03:26He would spend three days and three nights in the heart of the earth

03:31At that time the Bible tells us in the book of Jude that he would preach to the spirits in prison

03:38When he was in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights

03:42Listen, he preached across the great gulf that was mentioned in Luke chapter number 16

03:48And he preached to those who were lost without Christ and died and went to a place called hell

03:56But before Jesus died he would tell the thief that was hanging there with him

04:01He would tell him the blood words today thou shalt be with me in paradise

04:07Now don't get confused this morning because paradise was not a reference of heaven

04:13Jesus when he died did not immediately go to heaven

04:16The Bible says that he went to the heart of the earth for three days and three nights

04:22So this was paradise

04:25Well, Abraham's bosom again mentioned in Luke chapter number 16 and what this place were that I want you to get this this morning

04:34This was a place of waiting for the Old Testament

04:38Saints for the fulfillment of the sacrifice

04:43And I want you to understand again that nobody could come into the presence of God

04:48Until

04:51So you have to let the know that we're safe in the Old Testament look forward or to the cross and

04:58We have a new testament

05:06So in the Old Testament they got saved at the cross a man in the New Testament we get

05:17Jesus Christ that brings salvation every man woman boy or girl

05:23And at the breath of Jesus listen that was spur a series of

05:30resurrections from those who died in faith in the Old Testament and the Bible tells us tonight that when Jesus

05:37Died and rose again

05:39That these who were resurrected from the Old Testament would walk the streets of Jerusalem

05:45Testifying about the things that they had seen and heard and who Jesus really is

05:50Could you imagine brother Jack living in a time where the graves opened up and those that were dead in the grave started walking around?

05:58Telling you what they had seen and heard

06:02Well that happened when Jesus rose from the dead because that place paradise or Abraham's bosom

06:09Jesus put everyone in there out of there with him and brought them into heaven

06:14But before they went to heaven they rose from the dead and testified to those who were in Jerusalem

06:20About the thing they had seen and heard and who Jesus was

06:25Matthew 27 verses 51 through 53 the Bible says and behold

06:30the veil of the temple was read in twain from the top to the bottom and

06:36The earth did quake and the rocks rent and the grave world

06:40Watch this and many of the saints which slept a role and came out of the grave after his

06:48Resurrection and went into a holy city and appeared on the many

06:53Well, I'll tell you that must have been a sight that day. Amen

06:57So the first resurrection this morning started at Calvary

07:02as a matter of fact Jesus himself in the scriptures in the Word of God is referred to as the first fruits of the

07:09Resurrection and he refers that way because he's the first one who ever rose from the dead and never died again

07:17That's why Jesus this morning can say I have the keys of both hell and of death

07:22Because he was victorious over death hell in the grave and because he holds the keys

07:28You and I that are believers in Jesus Christ one day will have the same victory over death and of hell

07:36And we can thank God for that this morning in Revelation 1 in verse number 8

07:42Jesus said I am Alpha and Omega the beginning and the ending sayeth the Lord watch this next part

07:48He said which is which was and which is to come the Almighty

07:55The next time the first resurrection is going to take place is going to be at the rapture of the church

08:01The very first time that took place with a Calvary when Jesus rose from the dead

08:06The second time it's going to take place is that the rapture of the church?

08:10First Corinthians 15 verses 51 through 52 watch this

08:15Behold, I show you a mystery. We shall not all sleep

08:18But we shall all be changed in a moment in the twinkling of an eye at the last

08:23Trump or the trumpet shall sound watch this next part and the dead in Christ

08:28Shall be raised incorruptible and we shall be changed

08:33And first that's early is for 16 and 17

08:36The Bible says for the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout

08:40With the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet God rushes and the dead in Christ shall rise first

08:49Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air

08:54And so shall we ever be with the Lord

08:59You see this morning at the rapture of the church

09:02There will be a resurrection for all of those who died in faith

09:06Since the resurrection of Jesus Christ up until the rapture of the church

09:13That first resurrection dealt that first part of the resurrection at Calvary dealt with everyone who died in faith in the Old Testament

09:21The next time that it takes place at the rapture of the church will deal with everybody who has died in the church age

09:28Without being raptured out because there is going to be a group who do not die

09:34But that could be us this morning. They do not die

09:38but when the trumpet sounds they will be taken alive and

09:42Translated in the air to meet the Lord and we thank God for that

09:51And

09:53At the rapture of the church

09:56there will be a resurrection for all those who died in faith since the resurrection of Jesus Christ and

10:02As the tribulation period starts here on earth in heaven

10:07There will be what we know to be the judgment seat of Christ in 2nd Corinthians chapter 5 verse number 10

10:14The Bible says for we must all appear

10:16Before the judgment seat of Christ

10:19That everyone may receive the things done in his body according to that. He had done whether it be good or bad

10:27The judgment seat of Christ this morning is going to be a judgment

10:32Specifically for those who have been saved

10:35It's going to be a job. It's not going to be a judgment to decide whether or not you make it

10:41It's not going to be a judgment to decide whether or not you've been good enough to get into heaven

10:48Listen that was decided the very day that you came to faith in Jesus Christ

10:54Listen when it comes to the judgment seat of Christ, if you've been saved listen, you'll already be in heaven

11:01but the judgment seat of Christ

11:04It is going to be a judgment for the church and it will be a judgment for reward

11:11It will be a judgment of what we have done for Jesus sense. We have become

11:17Christians

11:19And I'm afraid this morning

11:21That many of us as we are saved and as we go to heaven when we anticipate the coming of the Lord

11:28I'm afraid that many of us when we stand before the judgment seat of Christ and we start to take a review of our lives

11:38I'm afraid that many of us will sit back and weep and say boy. I wish that I would have done more for Jesus. I

11:45Wish I'd have been more faithful. I wish that I would have won more people than Jesus

11:51but I wish I would have been more vocal and

11:54Preach the gospel that much more to this lost and dying world

11:59You know, it's gonna be a time of great war miss Connie, but it's also going to be a time of great regret

12:05That's why this morning as we look at the days in which we live we know and we understand according to scripture

12:11We've got a short time

12:13why don't we take the rest of the time that we've got and really pour it into living for God and

12:20Declaring the gospel in this lost and dying world

12:22And

12:28Then the last part of the first

12:30resurrection is going to take place at the end of the tribulation period and

12:35It will cover all of those who died in faith and suffered a martyr's death

12:40Or who died in faith not having received the mark of the beast from the time right after the rapture of the church

12:47all the way to the close of the tribulation period

12:52Revelation chapter 20 in verse number 4 again says I saw thrones and they that sat upon them and

12:59Judgment was given unto them and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus and for the Word of God

13:07When was this watch this next part which had not worshipped the beast. So this was the time of tribulation

13:13Neither his image neither had received his mark upon their foreheads or in their hands and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand

13:21years, I

13:23Also want you to notice that during the time of the tribulation period these tribulation Saints which were in heaven

13:30They were awaiting the resurrection. Look at Revelation 6 verse number 9

13:33You don't have to turn there but Revelation 6 and verse number 9 says when he had opened the fifth seal

13:39I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the Word of God and for the testimony

13:47Which they held and they cried with a loud voice saying how long o Lord holy and true

13:53Dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

13:58And what wrongs were given unto every one of them and it was said unto them that they should rest yet for a little season

14:05Until their fellow servants also and their brethren

14:09That should be fulfilled or that should be killed as they were should be fulfilled

14:15So when we talk about the first resurrection it actually occurs three different times

14:22Again, the first time is that Calvary that's for the Old Testament Saints

14:27The second time is that the rapture that's for the Saints during the church age and the third time is during

14:34The end of the tribulation period that is for those who die in faith in the tribulation period

14:42Yes, there are going to be people saved in the tribulation period and we thank God for that

14:50So one of the big questions in the world of today is the question well what happens today when you die as a believer

14:58the question that I've been asked a lot and I hear people ask a lot of talk about a lot is

15:03If you were to die, maybe you go to sleep until of the time of the resurrection

15:09That is a doctrine called

15:12Soul-sleep, and you wouldn't believe how many Christians believe that if you were to die right now, you would go to sleep until the resurrection

15:19But that's not how it works

15:22You see the physical body does die the physical body will go back to the dust of the earth

15:30But our soul and our spirit are delivered back to God waiting for the time of the resurrection

15:36Resurrection

15:37But even though you and I might be waiting for the time of the resurrection

15:41That does not mean that we are sleeping while we are waiting. Amen

15:46Watch what the scripture said this morning in 2nd Corinthians 5 and verse number 8. The Bible says we are confident

15:53I say and willing rather to be absent from the body watch this and

15:59To be present with the Lord

16:02When you and I leave this body when we become absent from this body

16:08Instantaneously, the Bible says we become present with the Lord

16:13We're not asleep. We're alive. Just like we are except we won't have that physical body

16:19But I want you to notice in 2nd Corinthians 5 8 notice how the believer is confident

16:25About his position with Christ Paul said we are confident

16:30This morning, are you confident that one day you're going to be with him?

16:36Well, are you hoping that one day you'll be with them

16:41You see there's a difference this morning and being confident and being hopeful

16:46I'm not hopeful that one day I'm going to be saved

16:50I'm confident this morning that with now I am saying

16:55I'm not

16:56Warning that one day I'll make it into

17:20That's the confidence of the believer this morning

17:24We've done

17:26But we're confident this morning in the dear lamb of God who loved us and gave his life on Calvary

17:33And we are confident that not only will we be with the Lord

17:38But we are also confident that we're not going to be asleep

17:42For the Bible plainly tells us that we shall see him as he is

17:48But now let us move on to the second resurrection

17:51As

17:52The first resurrection is a resurrection to eternal life

17:57The second resurrection is a resurrection to eternal death

18:04Notice the scripture one more time in Revelation 20 in verse number 6

18:09Where the Bible says blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection

18:15I'm such watch this the second death hath no power

18:21So this morning what happens to people who died today lost without Jesus Christ I

18:34Believe this morning that the Bible is very emphatic about that

18:40This morning if you leave this world without Jesus Christ

18:45The Bible plainly tells us that you'll open your eyes in a place of suffering and torment and

18:52That place this morning is called heaven

18:55If a man or woman leaves this life and leaves this body

19:00without knowing Jesus

19:03the very next thing they'll do is open their eyes at a place of torment and suffering called hell and

19:10And this morning as I've been preaching the gospel now for almost 30 years listen

19:14It's not God's will for anybody to go to hell

19:20God doesn't want anybody to go to hell

19:23That's why Jesus came and suffered and died the death of the cross

19:29So that men and women don't have to go there

19:32But

19:35That person's body will go back to the dust of the earth the same as the believer in Jesus Christ

19:42Their body will go back to the dust of the earth. Our body will go back to the dust of the earth

19:50But as our soul is returned back to God and we see the Lord

19:56Their soul and their spirit

19:59Will wake up in a place called hell

20:02And

20:05Hell this morning is the judgment of God against sin now what I'm preaching this morning isn't popular

20:12Most preachers in America will not preach what I'm preaching this more

20:17But my job and my responsibility because I love you this morning. I am required to tell you the truth

20:26And that's why this morning you must

20:30Receive Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior

20:34It's because this morning that he took our sins upon him

20:39Listen this morning. He nailed our sins to his cross

20:43This morning Jesus offered us forgiveness

20:48the Bible says in 2nd Corinthians 5 21 for he had made him Jesus to be sin for us who knew no sin

20:57That we might be made the righteousness of God in him

21:01the Lord Jesus Christ took upon him the sins of the world and

21:06He became sin. He became what God the Father hated

21:12So that you and I could become righteous

21:16Jesus became sin

21:19So that you and I could become righteous

21:23But in order for you to become righteous you must receive and accept what Jesus did on the cross

21:29You must receive him into your heart by faith

21:33But there are many people today that say that they don't believe in hell

21:38You know, I talked to people that don't go to church. They say they don't believe in hell

21:42I talked to people that do go to church that say they don't believe in hell

21:48Well, I believe this morning brother rocky that the rich man in Luke chapter number 16

21:52Probably didn't believe in hell until the day that he opened up his eyes and he found himself in a place. He didn't believe

21:59And unfortunately, that's the way with a lot of people a lot of people brag about it

22:05Believe in God. I don't believe in hell and then they die

22:08And they open their eyes in a place that they claim to have not believed in

22:15You know, that's really sad

22:18But I've talked to people who say well, I believe that hell in the grave of the same thing

22:22I don't if you have talked to people like that. Oh

22:25There's no difference between hell in the grave. It's the same thing

22:28Do you know tonight that there are multiple times in the Bible that death and hell are?

22:35Mentioned as two different entities at the same time. I'll give you a perfect example

22:41We saw this the other day in Revelation chapter 6 and verse number 8 watch this

22:45The Bible says and I looked and behold a pale horse and his name that said on him was death

22:52Watch this and it held

22:54positively

22:56two completely different things

22:58That shows us that death and hell are not the same

23:03In the tribulation period the Bible talks about the death of the unsaved in Revelation 14 and verse number 11

23:10The Bible says in the smoke of their torment ascended up forever and ever and they have no rest day nor night

23:19who worship the beast and his image and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name and

23:25This morning that is the future destiny of all who leave this world without Jesus Christ

23:33You don't just die. You don't just get burned up. You don't just cease to live your soul and your spirit

23:40Forever I do in the presence of God or in a place called hell

23:47But the decision rests upon what you choose to do with Jesus Christ

23:54And as those who are saved

23:58Will receive a glorified bomb

24:01the Bible says

24:02This corruption must put on in corruption

24:05I know that every time we do a funeral of someone who's been with the Lord if they suffer

24:10If they've been sick or if they've been maimed a lot of times we talk about how they're running around in heaven

24:16Amen, that's something that we can look forward to this coming a time when believers will have a glorified body

24:22But as you and I receive a glorified body

24:26Those who died lost upon the resurrection they'll receive an indestructible body

24:32Can you begin to understand what I'm saying today?

24:36That simply means that that body that they would receive will be able to burn and

24:42Suffer and feel pain for all eternity

24:46But that body will not be able to be destroyed

24:52Couldn't imagine having to go through all eternity in that type of pain

25:00And you know, I think about all the people in this world today who are tired of living

25:06and I think about all the people today that are lost without God and they're just tired of living and they just want to end it all and

25:13Many of them today are in pain

25:16But they don't know Jesus

25:19Do you know what would be sad?

25:22is if they leave this world in pain and

25:26Then they enter the next and more pain than they ever experienced in their life

25:31That's what it means to go to a place called hell there's no parties in hell, there's no beer in hell

25:38There's no friendships in hell

25:41it's just everlasting pain and torment and

25:45separation from the presence of God

25:49But as the first resurrection takes place at different times

25:54The second resurrection will only take place once

25:59The first resurrection again takes place three different times

26:02at the cross for the Old Testament at the rapture for the church at the end of tribulation for those that died in faith in

26:10the tribulation period

26:13But the second resurrection the resurrection to death only happens one time

26:22And we find that in Revelation chapter 20 look at verse number 11 watch this

26:28And I saw a great wet throne and him that sat on it from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away

26:36and there was found no place for them and

26:39I saw the dead small and great stand before God and

26:44the books were open and another book was open which is the book of life and

26:49the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books according to their works and

26:55The sea gave up the dead which were in it watch this next part and death and hell

27:01delivered up the dead which were in them and they were judged every man according to their works and

27:08Death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death

27:13Then watch 15 and whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast

27:20into the lake of fire

27:22You

27:23See the second resurrection is going to cover all of lost humanity

27:29from the times in the book of Genesis

27:33all the way

27:34through the book of Revelation

27:39As the throne is set can you imagine just for a second from Genesis to Revelation

27:46Could you imagine for a second the multitude of?

27:49people

27:51They're going to stand before the throne that day

27:57Millions and millions and millions of people from every nation

28:03will appear before the great white throne to be judged and

28:07This is going to be the only break for those who were in hell

28:13And it's not really much of a break because their brain is simply being delivered from hell

28:19To be judged at the great white throne

28:22notice verse number 13 again the sea gave up the dead which were in it and

28:28death and hell

28:30Delivered up the dead which were in them and they were judged every man according to their works

28:38But the question

28:40This morning is who's going to be the one sitting on the throne making the judgment

28:45I'm glad you asked that question. Amen

28:49Because this is a question that needs to be addressed for by every religion in the world

28:56At the bed of judgment who is going to be sitting on the throne making the decision?

29:04Well, I believe the answer to that question is very simple

29:07the Bible refers to Jesus as the judge of both the living and

29:12The dead in

29:142nd Timothy chapter 4 and verse number 1 Paul said I charge thee therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ watches

29:21Who shall judge the good and the dead his appearing and his kingdom?

29:26So the judge of the great white throne the one sitting on the wall is

29:31Gonna be the Lord Jesus Christ

29:34You see it's not enough to say well, I believe in God, but I don't believe in Jesus

29:41Jesus is the one that's gonna be sitting on the throne. He's gonna be the one judging. That's why this morning

29:48Listen, you must come to Jesus

29:52Because no

29:54Action will be accepted. So what asked the question?

30:01The answer is simple

30:10How can you be so sure because Jesus is the one sitting on the throne

30:16Jesus himself is the one that said in John 14 6. I am the way the truth and the life

30:22No man cometh under the Father, but by me

30:27Regardless of what religion or denomination a person it is

30:31Listen, the bottom line is that they must come to Jesus

30:37Is the only way for salvation but then notice here that the books were open look at verse number 12

30:45the books were open and I saw the death small and great stand before God and the books were open and another bill was

30:52open which is the book of life and

30:55The dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books according to their works

31:01Now

31:05You might be here this morning I'm giving you a little Bible study

31:08You might be here this morning and you might have a question. You might say brother. I mean what books are

31:14Going to be open

31:16Well, the answer is very simple

31:19There are going to be three primary books that are opened at that day

31:24Number one is going to be the book of the law

31:27Number two is going to be the book of the prophets and then number three is going to be the lambs book of life

31:35Those are the three books that are going to be open the law

31:38The book of the law is going to be open because as many men and women choose to reject Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior

31:46Listen those same men and women that reject Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior

31:51Now they're going to be judged based upon their ability to keep the law of God and the commandments of God

32:00If you go in this day in this world in this time in your life if you reject Jesus

32:07Then when you stand for judgment

32:10You're gonna be judged by your works I think about that person this morning who always goes around saying well

32:16I've been a pretty good person

32:18I'm not as bad as so-and-so

32:21Surely God will take that into consideration. Listen, I'm going to tell you something now

32:26scenario is going to change the moment God opens the book of the law and

32:32Starts judging that person

32:36There's not a manner of living living today

32:41That will be able to say I've been a pretty good person that they've been judged by God's law

32:45You

32:49See the books of the law are going to be open

32:53In Romans 3 and verse number 10, the Bible says it is as it is written. This is none righteous. No, not one

32:59I've been a pretty good person. Well, that's all in the book and find out how good you've been

33:06But the good thing is Romans 5 8 says but God commended his love toward us and that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us

33:15And as these people tried to be saved by their works

33:20They will now be judged by those same works that they relied to save them and

33:26They'll find out the truth that we've been preaching all these years

33:30That is just not good enough. You need Jesus

33:34So the books of the law are going to be open number to the books of the prophets are going to be open

33:39These books are going to be open for those who denied and refused to believe in Jesus Christ

33:47God at this time is going to show them through the prophets and through the fulfillment of Bible prophecy

33:54That Jesus Christ is the Messiah that he lived and died and rose again

34:00according to the scripture I

34:03Can show a Jewish man or woman this morning with it?

34:07In fact, I will prove from the Old Testament that Jesus Christ is a Messiah

34:15But yet they'll still refuse to believe

34:19Well in that day that unbelieving Jew or that unbelieving Muslim or that unbelieving American

34:25Will stand before God and the books will be open

34:30And I was throwing to say right here. Here's the proof that Jesus is the Messiah

34:36You

34:37See the books of the law will be open the books of the prophets are going to be open and that's important for the day

34:43In which we live because we have such a sure word of prophecy

34:47yet so many men and women still do not believe and

34:51Then the last book

34:53That's going to be open is the Lamb's Book of Life

34:57This is the book in which everyone's name is written that has received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior

35:03Savior the day that you came to faith in Jesus Christ. Do you know that God wrote his name in his book?

35:11I've been saved now for 31 years coming this note was coming this December 31 years

35:1931 years ago this December

35:23God wrote my name in this book because I know Jesus to become a Lord and Savior

35:29All if you've trusted in Christ listen your names in his book

35:34But if you haven't trusted in Christ

35:37Your name's not in the book. And this is what bothers me miss Connie. I think that in that day

35:43There's gonna be so many people again. They say I've been a good person. I was a church member. I've done this I've done that

35:50but when the life is open and

35:53Jesus says your name is not there

35:56Then

36:05But they never came to faith in Jesus Christ and

36:11Their name is not written in God's book. I

36:17Remember what Jesus said to the 70 and Luke 10 in verse number 20

36:21He said rejoice not that the spirits are subject to you

36:24but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven in

36:31Revelation 21 in verse number 27 as God reveals the new Jerusalem

36:35The Bible says there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defileth neither whatsoever

36:41Worketh abomination or make it a lie watch it, but they which are written in the Lamb's Book of Life

36:48In Philippians 4 and verse number 3 the Apostle Paul said I entreat thee also true

36:53Yo fellow help those women which labor with me in the gospel

36:57With Clement also and with other my fellow laborers watch it whose names are in the book of life

37:04Listen this morning. I'm not asking about how good you've been

37:07I'm not asking you about what church you belong to the question I have for you this morning

37:13Oh

37:20No, you need to be confident that it is and the confidence doesn't come from you that comes from the cross

37:30So this morning listen if you're not confident that you're saved this morning

37:34listen, would you come to an altar and give your life to Jesus and make sure that you're going to heaven and

37:39Then lastly and then I'm going to be through and

37:43Then the end of the second resurrection is going to be according to the Bible not brother. I mean not the Baptist religion

37:51According to the Bible the end of the second resurrection will be the lake of fire

37:57Look at verse number 15 if you were

38:04I'm fixing to be through verse number 15 and

38:08And whosoever

38:10Was not found written in the book of life

38:14was cast

38:15into the lake of fire as

38:18The Lamb's Book of Life gives the name of every person who has been saved. I wonder this morning how many people

38:27are going to stand there and

38:31Simply say Lord, would you check it again?

38:36Okay one more time

38:39But the true horror will be when God opens the book and checks the book and

38:44Their name is not there because they have not received Jesus as Lord and Savior

38:52This morning the Bible says in Revelation 3 in verse number 20 behold

38:56I stand at the door and knock if any man hear my voice and open the door

39:01I will come into him and will suck with him and he with me

39:05this morning if you will simply come and ask the Lord Jesus Christ to forgive me of your sins and

39:11Ask him to save you from going to hell and the Lord you'll commit say Lord Jesus from the day before I commit my life

39:18to fire you

39:21This morning he'll write your name in his book. Amen

39:25And you'll be able to leave here rejoicing as he said in the seven not because the Spirit is a subject to you

39:31But you'll be able to leave rejoicing because your name is now

39:39Boy that's the rejoicing this morning of the Christian

39:44But without Jesus I'm fixing to be through

39:48Your name's not written in the book

39:51And without Jesus if you leave this world, you'll go to a place that God does not want you to go to

39:58But

40:00This morning if you'll simply come to Jesus and receive him as Lord and Savior, he'll be your Savior and

40:07He'll save you from that awful place

40:10The Bible says in Luke 19 and verse number 10 for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost

40:18Who is lost?

40:20Everyone whose name is not found written in the book

40:24This

40:26Morning is God is calling out to you. Would you come?

40:30This morning if you're here, I'd like you to check your life

40:33I'd like to look at you like had there ever been a time in your life where you know beyond a shadow of a doubt

40:38Then you gave your life and heart to Jesus Christ

40:42This morning again, you might say well, I believe in God. Oh

40:47Friend the Bible says the devil's also believe and they tremble

40:51Not enough to believe in God

40:54You must be born again

40:57Would you come to Jesus this morning? I'd like you to stand with your heads bowed your eyes closed. I'm through
