00:05Lovato teamed up with Hulu to direct Child Star, a doc which examines the high highs and low lows
00:11of growing up in the spotlight. But rather than have it focus solely on Lovato's past,
00:16the singer and actress has tapped other former Child Stars for intimate and at times heartbreaking
00:21conversations on growing up under the microscope of the public eye. The doc will include Drew
00:26Barrymore, Kenan Thompson, Christina Ricci, Raven-Symoné, Jojo Siwa and Lovato's Camp Rock
00:32co-star Alison Stoner. Lovato said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter,
00:36I hope viewers will gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and pressures faced by young
00:40people in the industry so we can achieve our goal of creating a safer and more supportive
00:45environment for future generations, young talents in entertainment, social media and beyond.
00:51The film, which runs a little over 90 minutes and is co-directed by Nicola Marsh,
00:55is set to premiere September 17 and airs on Hulu, which is owned by Disney,
