00:00The Boys has grown in viewers every single season. Do you think it's because of that same reason? It's resonating
00:06I think so. I think you know, Eric is such a talented writer
00:11you know and in the entire team and that trickles down to our cast and everyone involved that
00:19It's it's just a reflection of what what is going on in terms of how we're baking the cake
00:26What was it like showing black noir in a new way in season four it was so fun, you know, it's funny because
00:34The conflicts that exist with black noir and everyone in the seven
00:37That's not what happens behind the scenes like Eric and I have a really good
00:41Dialogue and and back and forth and anytime I have questions I can ask him and he's there
00:45But as a character as a character as an actor myself, you know internally I was always like how would nor do this?
00:53What would he do here? Is this in character? And so that inner struggle or that inner?
00:59That inner
01:01Journey that I had, you know
01:03New noir has that and so I can bring what was going on internally for me
01:08To this character and externalize it through his relationships in this in the in the story
01:14We know that next season will be the last season of the show. How do you think or hope this all ends for noir?
01:21Who I you know, I hope that
01:23new noir
01:25steps into his own as a soup and
01:28Establishes his own identity
01:30What sort of backstory did you create for this new noir because obviously he's also super but in season four
01:36We don't know a ton of about him yet. I think the backstory for new noir is
01:42He's an actor. He's incredibly dedicated to his craft and
01:46He hadn't hit the heights of success that he wanted to hit and
01:51He kind of finds himself in a place where he gets a call that he didn't expect to get and they're like
01:55Hey, do you want to join the seven and it's a dream come true except it's not
02:00You know, it's like you're this expressive actor and then you get this role where it's it's like
02:06Being a theater actor and getting something. That's a
02:09Broadway hit but they're like and we just want you to stand there and
02:13And he's like why what why am I doing this what's happening and no one's answering any of his questions
02:19so it's it's
02:23It's the best thing and the most challenging thing for him at the same time
02:27Sometimes it feels like we're currently living in an episode of the boys
02:31What's your take on the way the show has somehow seemed to predict real-life events. I
02:35Think that you know, we are just a TV show
02:39You know, and I think that as a TV show
02:46We shouldn't make it more than it is
02:48You know, I think the boys is a show that asks questions and leaves people to find their own answers, you know
02:57Yeah, I think it's it's it's interesting, you know, because we rewrite their show like 18 months a year and a half before
03:05So the way it lines up with certain things like it makes me think of the simpsons, right but but again
03:11We're just a TV show. We're a fictional show. We're here to ask questions
03:15and
03:16you know
03:18Allow people to have fun, you know, and so anything is just
03:22a coincidence if that at all, but but it's it's great to be on a show where people
03:27Anything is just
03:29A coincidence if that at all, but but it's it's great to be on a show where people
03:35Really push the envelope
03:37Eric announced the spinoff vaught rising today here at comic-con. What are you excited to see in that spinoff?
03:42I'm excited to see jensen and aya, you know two amazing people and amazing performers and actors
03:50I think
03:52We all really missed them on the show when they left
03:55And so i'm glad that they get to come back in this universe and we get to see them carry on their own story
