Tomer Capone shares the challenge of wrestling with his character's past in season 4 of 'The Boys.' Plus, he tells THR at San Diego Comic-Con how he ships Frenchie and Kimiko.

00:00A lot of the characters have to really wrestle with their past this season including Frenchie. What was it like getting to do that?

00:06Challenging more than anything. I mean, you know Frenchie again. It's like he's the wild card if

00:13If the boys is a family so Frenchie is the troubled teenager, you know what I mean and

00:20To read the new scripts of season 4 and see the storyline for Frenchie so dark

00:26It was so dark and I went like oh, that's interesting. That's a challenge. That's something new and

00:33It wasn't always easy because

00:36just because the material is so

00:39just dark and hard but

00:42unfortunately, we

00:46We have such a beautiful and amazing people working on this show and everything kind of makes you it's a family

00:53So you feel like you're in a safe place?

00:55like you can't you're protected and

00:58You get the opportunity to explore

01:01It's a beautiful playground for an actor. So I was very very thankful for that. Yeah

01:06We get to see it Kimiko and Frenchie finally come together and share a kiss in season 4

01:11Do you ship them as a couple? Oh, yeah, of course. Of course. Come on. You have to get to Marseille at some point

01:17Come on, it's it's it's inevitable. Yeah, but actually that kiss, you know again being here five years ago

01:24Nobody knew who we were I was walking this place comic-con telling people I'm from this show called the boys

01:30Please you can watch it come out soon. And now we're here

01:34Comic-con and look at all this amazing beautiful fans and fans made the show what it is

01:39and

01:40I feel like this kiss between friend Kimiko and Frenchie was something that the fans really wanted really asked for

01:48And it felt like a symbiotic relationship that we are

01:52Actually giving them what they want

01:55Hearing them and that's we're all just you know, it's like a family thing. It was so shooting that knowing this was very

02:04very very

02:06Emotional. Yeah

02:08Season 4 ends with the boys and probably the worst place we've ever seen them

02:12What do you think or hope happens for them in the final season season 5?

02:17Man oh look at that question. Did you ask everyone that question? What did they say? I mean, I'm dying to know

02:28Answers have been all over the place. But thinking of Frenchie. Is there one thing you'd like to see him do in season 5?

02:55I just heard it yesterday Eric Ripkey told me that I said I can't even imagine what it's 55 million people
