00:00You, Dan, everything, you guys went together, winning a Super Bowl together.
00:04What can you tell us about what this fight has been like from your perspective?
00:11Well, you've done a wonderful job of, of, of kind of, you know, laying it out in
00:17the sense that it, it, it, it, it's an insidious, horrible disease.
00:21And I was over there a couple of days ago and, and, and even though Steve
00:26has kind of leveled off, you know, there hasn't been as much attrition and atrophy
00:31and, and all the different things, but still, you know, the real insidious part
00:37of this is he can still, you know, his mind is still sharp and, and when I go,
00:43I, I, I, you know, I invariably it's a one-sided conversation, but I, I, I tell
00:48old stories about there we were in St.
00:51Louis playing the Cardinals on a preseason night and, and, and you can
00:56tell by looking in his eyes that, you know, obviously he understands implicitly.
01:02And, and that's what's so awful about this disease.
01:07The body is basically, you know, it's, it's useless.
01:10And, and the point that, you know, Misty made about them having more time together.
01:17There's no doubt in my mind that, you know, so many people that if you're
01:22afflicted with this, you, you know, there's options and, and maybe they
01:26want to just, you know, end it.
01:28But Steve has, has been unbelievably strong and, and, and resilient.
01:35And, and next Saturday, he will be inducted into, you know,
01:41the pro football hall of fame.
