00:00The massive low of the play-offs to the huge high of the FA Trophy final win all came within
00:06the space of a few weeks for Gateshead. With a new season now on the horizon, there is
00:11an optimism about the international stadium under the stewardship of Rob Elliott. Despite
00:16his side losing narrowly to championship opponents Middlesbrough in midweek, Elliott was a satisfied
00:22man and praised the efforts of his players for the ability to impose themselves on a
00:27strong Borough outfit.
00:57For large parts of the game, Gateshead were more than a match for Michael Carrick's team
01:25and were able to find and use space effectively to advance up the pitch. Borough boss Michael
01:31Carrick himself complimented Gateshead's performance with Elliott, then speaking on whether any
01:36more could be done to ready the side before the new season kicks off on the 10th of August.
