01:01It's a mini-meltdown, but one that no doubt left its mark.

01:12Questioning Starlight's Loyalty, Nothing Like It in the World
01:15Talk about a tense elevator ride.
01:17After doubting Starlight's loyalty, Homelander corners the blonde heroine in a Vought Tower
01:22elevator.
01:28What follows is a claustrophobic and menacing questioning about her true allegiance.
01:37Along with a barrage of verbal abuse, Homelander grips Starlight's throat and digs at her
01:41abdomen with chilling intensity.
01:43With Starlight's fear palpable, Homelander's true anger simmers just beneath the surface,
01:48threatening to erupt at any moment.
02:04And while the outcome leaves Starlight shaken, the incident shows just how paranoid and controlling
02:09Homelander can be, a powder keg looking for any excuse to ignite.

02:16the Hill with the Swords of a Thousand Men.
02:19As a father figure to Ryan, Homelander expects nothing but perfection from his son.
02:23In fact, he wants Ryan to be just like him.
02:25Let's just say his parenting approach isn't quite father-of-the-year material.
02:35And so, when Homelander pressures Ryan to manifest his powers, things don't go exactly
02:39as planned.
02:40And who does he blame for the mishap?
02:42Why, that would be Becca.
02:47Homelander berates her for, as he sees it, raising his son soft.
02:51And with the leader of the Seven's twisted father-son relationship continuing to be a
02:55source of meltdowns, all we can say is good luck to Ryan.
02:58Cause with a dad like Homelander, he's gonna need it.
03:07Number 7.
03:08Homelander's Wrath isn't just contained to the live-action The Boys series.
03:34When The Boys presents Diabolical, an animated spin-off which runs parallel to the main series
03:39continuity, we get a glimpse of Homelander's origins.
03:47During a hostage situation at a chemical plant, Homelander's refusal to wait for backup,
03:52along with continual misjudgments, lead to a catastrophic failure.
03:59His lack of control and absolute fit of rage result in countless unnecessary deaths.
04:05Despite his supposed heroism and good intentions, he only exacerbates the situation.
04:10Not helping matters is the fact that the blame is shifted to others.
04:13This, of course, becomes all too common in the mega-soup's future.

04:28Eviscerating the protest crowd.
04:30We gotta go now.
04:31When Ashley shows Homelander a leaked video of him pitilessly killing a foreign terrorist,
04:36he dismisses it by quipping.
04:40His attitude changes, however, when he learns that his approval rating has dropped.
04:51Desperate to repair his image, Homelander defies orders and disrupts Representative
04:55Victoria Newman's protest, attempting to spin the execution positively.
04:59His efforts fail.
05:00It's then that we get a chilling glimpse inside Homelander's mind by way of a violent
05:04fantasy.
05:08Luckily, however, the mass casualty carnage stayed in his head, although cracks in his
05:16psyche are shown to be much bigger than originally thought.

05:20Ending Madeline.
05:21You found me.
05:22Madeline Stilwell was one of Vought International's top-ranking execs.
05:26She was also one of the few people who could control Homelander.
05:29You're my good boy.
05:32At least, she thought she was.
05:33Held hostage by Billy Butcher in hopes of angering Homelander, Madeline found herself
05:37in a lose-lose situation at the close of the boy's first season.
05:41You mean everything to me.
05:43No.
05:44Oh, no.
05:45I mean everything to your job.
05:49You see, after learning that Madeline lied to him about the death of Becca and his son,
05:53an extremely angry Homelander went in for the kill himself, using his heat vision to
05:57do the job.
06:02Homelander's raging tantrum-turned-merciless killing truly smartened audiences up to what
06:11the unhinged soup is capable of.
06:15What was that plan again?
06:22Number four.
06:23Public execution of a protester.
06:25The instant white-hot wild.
06:27Remember earlier, when Homelander only daydreamed about killing protesters?
06:30Well, that wasn't the case this time around.
06:33The boy's season three finale ended in disturbing fashion, as Homelander introduced the world
06:38to his son Ryan outside of Vought.
06:40Alrighty, everyone.
06:43This little guy here is my son, Ryan.
06:50When a protester calls Homelander out, and subsequently hits Ryan with a projectile in
06:54the process, the super-dad lets go of all control.
06:58Yep, he lasers the civilian protester on the spot, in front of everyone.
07:03And with the crowd eventually erupting in applause, Homelander's left to make sense
07:07of the adoration he's receiving, giving us some mighty meme-worthy facial reactions
07:11in the process.
07:22Number three.
07:23I'm the real hero.
07:24The only man in the sky.
07:35Thanks to the news of Stormfront's death, a visibly rattled Homelander decides to go
07:39off script during his big televised birthday celebration.
07:54Following Starlight's praising of Homelander for his donation to her charity, the leader
07:58of the Seven grabs the microphone and shocks everyone by erupting in an epic tirade.
08:22He declares that he's finished with playing nice and following rules.
08:26Homelander will be no more apologizing and hiding his true self.
08:41Homelander fully rejects his public persona at this moment, and proclaims that he is a
08:45god among men, further telling the audience,
08:53We suppose that's one way to celebrate a birthday?
08:56Number two.
08:57Dooming Flight 137.
08:59The female of the species.
09:01Looking for the moment that cemented Homelander's capacity for cruelty?
09:04This is it.
09:05Faced with a hijacked plane, Homelander's I-beams send the aircraft into a freefall.
09:10Instead of, you know, saving lives, he instead decides to abandon all the innocent people
09:14aboard.
09:26Even as Maeve lists several ways they could save some passengers, like children, Homelander
09:30writes off the mission as a lost cause.
09:32The muscle-bound suit loses it, and even threatens those who beg for his help.
09:41It's an incredibly callous act, fueled by Homelander's warped sense of reasoning.
09:45It's also one of the first major reveals of the true monster lurking beneath the surface.

10:51Among the heinous acts, Homelander forced an employee to pleasure himself.
10:55Laughing maniacally in retaliation for his past embarrassments, Homelander became the
10:59very definition of unhinged.
11:01His retribution didn't end there, though, as he unleashed his full power upon everyone,
11:06obliterating them all without mercy.
