00:00I think within the game of Tetris, it teaches you a lot about problem solving in a short space of time.

00:07A lot of decision making, a lot of reflexes involved.

00:10And I think that applies definitely to something like packing a car boot.

00:14A lot of decisions will have to be made whether you have to pack a suitcase one way or another,

00:19whether you should bring this item or not.

00:21And yeah, I definitely think the skills transfer over.

00:25In Tetris, creating those compact stacks without the holes is crucial.

00:29Can you share some techniques for compressing flexible items like clothes

00:33to maximise the space that you have in your car boot?

00:36Yeah, definitely making sure everything is packed in a compact way.

00:40You don't want to leave loads of gaps in the boot.

00:43Otherwise, you know, you're wasting space.

00:45You want to be able to use as much space as possible per item

00:48so that when it comes to packing all the things,

00:50you can bring that tiny bit extra thing that you might need just for, you know,

00:54maybe it's a snack or some entertainment or something like that.

00:58For you, what are your non-negotiables when it comes to packing for a holiday?

01:02How do you ensure these essential items fit into the limited space

01:05without sacrificing some of the necessities?

01:08Yeah, I think the necessities that you have to bring will be the change of clothes,

01:11your toiletries and your electronics for some entertainment in the back of the car,

01:15you know, when the kids are, you know, getting bored or tired or whatever.

01:18Yeah, definitely those are the essentials.

01:20And anything else that you can bring are a bonus.

01:22I think maybe you could consider it an essential with definitely the snacks.

01:26You definitely want to bring those depending on your boot size or whatever, you know,

01:30have that list, be organized, make sure you have everything that you want to bring.

01:34Like even if you have like a smaller boot.

01:36What is the most common mistake you see people make when they're packing

01:39and how would you guide them to avoid it?

01:42I think the most common problem is that they bring too much.

01:45You know, that can cause like, that can cause arguments in itself.

01:48You're like, oh no, you're bringing way too much. You don't need this.

01:50You don't need this. And then, you know, also cause like a safety issue.

01:52If you're blocking the back window, you can't see,

01:55you can't see out, but you can't drive.

01:57So definitely packing too much is probably the biggest problem.
