00:06A dream party for any six-year-old.
00:09But for Audrey Wallace, it's literally a wish come true.
00:13The Gold Coast girl is in palliative care and lives with treatment-resistant epilepsy.
00:19Audrey was dead set on having a unicorn fairy princess party.
00:22With the help of charity Ambulance Wish Queensland, friends and strangers donated time and goods.
00:28The smile is priceless, you never know what tomorrow is or what tomorrow comes and the
00:32fact that I can make one of her wishes come true makes a world of difference for me.
00:36It's been a long road for the family.
00:39Just a month ago, the Wallaces were on the state's public housing wait list and struggling
00:43to care for their daughter.
00:45After a story by the ABC, the situation improved.
00:49It's been a huge relief to finally have that.
00:51So we're in a wheelchair safe house for her, the lovely Donna and her partner generously
00:57gave us their van for Audrey to use.
01:00For a special little girl who has missed so many birthdays in hospital, the Gold Coast
01:05community and local businesses have come together to give Audrey the birthday bash she'll never
01:10forget.
01:11Really wanting to celebrate her life, really wanting to celebrate the adversity and the
01:15challenges that she has overcome.
01:17She's over the moon.
01:19She unfortunately just got out of hospital on Friday, so we're really excited because
01:23we're actually able to come.
