What is Red Sox success?

Red Sox are back from break and will begin series against the Dodgers. Curtis asks, "What would you consider a success" for this season? Do Red Sox just need to make a move? Do they need to make playoffs?

00:00What is success? What will be, is it all about if Breslau does something at the

00:06deadline? Is that literally, nothing else really matters? If the Red Sox invest in

00:10the team and they fail then at least they tried. What do you need to see from

00:14the Reds? Is it a playoff berth? Is it, you know, not another, you know, September

00:18swoon? What do you need to see to make the season a success? Playoff berth, I

00:21think. Even if Breslau does something at the trade deadline, yeah, that'll be

00:25great for morale, but if this team still falls off in the second half of the

00:28season, like we've seen the last two seasons with the Red Sox, then we're

00:32still, you know, we're still out of a season come the end of September, early

00:37October. Like, that's, that would suck. Even if he makes a big splash at

00:42trade deadline, if it doesn't pay off, it doesn't pay off. And I think we would be

00:45okay if he didn't make a splash and they made the playoffs, that would be fine as

00:48well. So yeah, I'm all playoffs at this point. Find a way to get in and have,

00:52again, there was so much talk the last time they were in on how electric Fenway

00:57was and what a change it was. And it was like back in the eighties and the

01:01nineties. And let's get to that. If they have that and they build that kind of

01:06juice over at Fenway in October, then, then life's good for everybody.

01:10A couple of quick updates. I'll give you my socks. Take a Ken sends that Delta

01:14has resumed some flights. They had been shut down entirely. So at least that's

01:19good news for them. And a number, another gentleman said that you're quoting

01:23Newsmax. No, I'm quoting Mark Halperin, who is one of the more, um, connected

01:29political analysts. He happened to say it on Newsmax. It's not that he is

01:32Newsmax. He is a reporter who used to be, I think Newsweek or Politico. Anyway,

01:37it's pretty widely reported at this point. So why don't you just go Google

01:40it and go out of your basement. And next is the red socks. They have to do, I

01:47don't care about the playoffs as much. Really? If they don't invest at the

01:50trade deadline, then I want them to divest. So invest, invest like for this

01:55season or invest like in the organization going forward in this season?

01:58Okay. Make a move. Yeah. Bring in a starter, bring in Pete Alonzo, bring in

02:02Nathan of all the do whatever. But if they do status quo and I don't want

02:07like, Oh, we brought in a guy that might be here in September or whatever. Like

02:12there needs to be a sign that we're adding payroll. We're giving up a

02:16prospect and we're going
