A look at Everton going into the new season and which players if any are set to join the few so far in departures from Merseyside. Still plenty of positives to take so far this summer as Sean Dyche is gearing up for another big year in charge of the Toffees.

00:00Maybe they might have lowered their asking price on Jarrod Bramfleet to Man United or
00:06Dominic Calvert-Lewin to Newcastle, Amadou Ounana is obviously still at the club, at
00:11the Euros, but Everton have been steadfast with their approach for Bramfleet, saying
00:17you offer us silly money or he's going nowhere. Obviously Man United haven't been able to
00:21get that one over the line deal for Calvert-Lewin, Newcastle broke down. Yeah, Ounana is obviously
00:26an interesting one, but he's competing at the Euros, so that's probably part, maybe
00:31Everton knew that would be part before Lewis Toppen, for what, ÂŁ10m to Aston Villa, that's
00:36pure profits on the books. So yeah, I think Everton may be looking at it and thinking,
00:40looking okay, certainly with the players that have been linked to him as well, it looks
00:44like there might be a little bit of money to spend.
00:47Yeah, obviously you mentioned that the players that have been linked to him have made a couple
00:51of deals already. I mean, yeah, as you say, is this sort of a change in targets for Everton
00:58as they approach this season? You know, we've spoke before that, you know, minus the points
01:02deductions last season, a 12th place finish, and that's something that I'm sure after the
01:06last few seasons of turmoil that most, if not all, of Everton fans would take.
01:11Yeah, absolutely. I think, you know, it'd be interesting to see what the briefing is
01:15for Deitch now, whether it's avoid relegation again, or, you know, maintain where we are,
01:23or try and kick on into the top 10. It'd be interesting to see what the expectations are.
01:28But look, it looks like Everton are targeting attacking players in this window of Seaport
01:33and brought back Jack Harrison, which is a decent loan spell, and I think he even maybe
01:39thinks he can do better than he did last season. Bringing in the lad from Marseille,
01:45Ilham Nendaye, who has good seas at Sheffield United before he went to Marseille. Disappointed
01:53a little bit in France, but Everton were interested before he went to Marseille, so it looks like
01:58that's one of, you know, they've admired for a while, and Sean Deitch may be looking to get
02:02the best out of him. And wide players again, obviously, Jadon Fillingham from Hull City
02:07has been linked, and they couldn't get Jankuva Minter over the line with Newcastle and Stoke
02:14going to Brighton. So, yeah, attacking players, obviously, they need wide players. Maybe another
02:20striker to support Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Armando Broge from Chelsea is a name that's been mentioned,
02:26and I keep saying I think they do honestly need another left-back to cover in competition for
02:32Vitaly Mikhalenko, who has ankle issues at the autos, and came originally in the
02:38Merseyside derby against Liverpool when he did his ligament, so I think maybe getting an option
02:43in there. But, yeah, I think there's confidence around Everton fans that the deals that are being
02:50done look positive, you know, this isn't scrambling around trying to get whatever they can, really.
02:55It looks like Everton are going for players they think can make a difference.
